Just wouldn't like a ground floor room in future because had to keep blinds down due to people passing. I like to look outside.

Good standard of accommodation and lovely food.

Staff we very helpful and friendly. Food was amazing. The grounds and entire look of the place is beautiful.

Cleanliness could be better. No headboards to beds was annoying with pillow displacement. Wasn't given any turn down service. Reception staff could improve complaints not followed up fell on deaf ears. Breakfast options mainly meat based. Doesn't have great options for kids no cereal limited fruit option. Fruit and yogurt mainly consisted of melon. Vegan or vegetarian options little to non.

Stunning surroundings garden and beautiful walks to be had. We had a dog so perfect for them. Service in restaurants was excellent both in the Mills restaurant and breakfast.

Directions to get to the property were very poor. The link on the website did not work and Google maps was sending us in the wrong direction. Eventually we had to rely on a phone call to direct us. Apparently this is a frequent problem. We arrived half an hour later than we planned and we almost missed our dinner reservation.

The setting was wonderful. All staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our dinner and our breakfast. We plan to come back another time!

Didn't want to leave... as totally fell in love with the place 💖

This place is the most magical place i have ever stayed .If I could give it more the 10stars I would. Its streets ahead of any 5star hotel experience. From the minute you enter you just don't want to leave .From the welcoming staff at reception to the fabulous atmosphere in the courtyard when you arrive @ The pantry cafe. Nothing prepares you for what lays ahead once you enter the private gate for residents .This little village is just breath taking with its pretty garden cottages , streams , bridges , fountains,a church and the Japanese forest bathing experience at the Thermal Village. Complimentary bikes are such a lovely touch to cycle the grounds or take a trip along the Canal. Special mention.. sorry didn't get everyone's name but to the super attentive French Restaurant manager & his camogie playing waitress. And can't say enough about the upkeep of the grounds they are manicured & pristine and was lucky enough to meet their amazing gardener .Have to say the Mill Restaurant is in the most spectacular setting with a Waterfall backdrop to enjoy while having a top class dinner and with two beautiful bar areas to enjoy an after dinner drink .The stunning Orangery served such a delicious breakfast the following morning that would totally set you up for day. We will definitely return and would highly recommend the cottages for families and the rooms in the Mayors place for a romantic getaway ...best bathrooms ever .Cant wait to book our next visit. Congratulations to all involved i have never seen such a well run establishment ..its such a Special place 🥰

Access. Booked through Booking .com asking for dog friendly room. Had difficulty getting phone reply when calling reception. When arrived at reception eventually was told a dog friendly room had not been requested . Wasn’t given gate codes to open gates throughout the property. Needs to be better signed at entrance .More information on arrival .

Old charm. Manicured gardens and grounds. Dog friendly. Great food.

We left it too late to book the spa so could not get any treatment but this was our fault.

Breakfast was excellent. Location was fabulous beside the canal. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Emma from Donegal working in the restaurant is great, she looked after us so well.

The only improvements I can think of would have been a slightly roomier room (the Palmer was very sweet, but on the small side for two people), and the ability to dine at Aimsir. All the more reason to come back and eat there in the future!

Everything was spectacular! The location, the breakfasts, the Mill, the staff, and of course the magnificent spa! It was also very quiet during the night, which meant we slept wonderfully.
