Although breakfast was very good and freshly cooked we had to ask for tea and very few staff on duty so it took a while. Room not big but adequate

    Great location with sea views

    Weather is very erratic.

The hotel was excellent value for money. Good breakfast.. Nice location. Was ideal for our stay. Great base for touring the area. Fishing excellent in the area. Also, good walking and beaches in the area. A visit to aran Island a must for first time visitors.

Arriving at the hotel after a long day’s driving with the rubbish from the trip ( empty plastic bottles and wrappings etc.). When I asked how I could dispose of said items, I was informed that there were rubbish bins in the town.

Breakfast was good and staff attentative

The dining room was very warm as the windows didnt open . So the exit door had to be left open and then older customers were complaining that there was a draught.

The food was excellent especially the Blue steak which my husband said was the best he ever tasted.A big shout out to Megan Shovlin, the young lady who looked after us so well in the Restaurant. The breakfast was delicious too. The room was very comfortable.

I loved my stay here but if I had to get really picky, there were a few areas to improve my experience; The Receptionist was friendly and helpful on check-in although I didn’t get the WiFi password details or asked to give a credit card to make charges to the room. I did find the bedroom a little cold before bed and wasn’t sure how to work the heating. Breakfast was tasty and the Chef catered to my fussy needs, although I’d like to have porridge made fresh to order (rather than pre-made), a nicer selection of more premium breads (sourdough for example) and fruit options that aren’t drowned in juices (although a lot of hotels still do this).

Beautifully situated overlooking the water, this cosy hotel was perfect for a solo staycation in the heart of Donegal. Perfectly based to explore Donegal and the staff here were wonderful and so friendly. I did get a change of room to a sea view which was so appreciated - it’s the little things :) I had a late lunch when I arrived. Fresh fish, wonderfully cooked with a sea view to die for. The bedrooms were comfy and cosy and had a kettle to make tea / coffee, bottled water and a decent hairdryer. Breakfast Chef was really helpful for all my (fussy) needs. There’s also a great gym behind the hotel that guests have access to. When the weather allows there’s outdoor seating with a lovely view of the sea! I’d definitely come back to stay here in a heart beat and only I had work to go back to, I’d have checked in for another night! Can’t wait to come back.

no swimming pool, sauna or steam joint. To be fair, I went on word of mouth... should of done my own research,

The staff were 100%, receptionist, chefs, and bar staff were all good craic... knowledgeable about the local area like where was best place to sea swim, where was good for a session and they knew cocktails and food! food and drink was unreal, a hungover breakfast looking out over the sea was brilliant. plenty of parking with a descent wee smoking area. Very close to the town which has a couple of nice pubs close by. Hopefully be back in the not too distant future.
