Round plug sockets in behind beds that have to be pulled out to get to but round socket plugs are no use to any Irish chargers

Sadly they seem to have dropped the ball on Breakfasts since I last stayed. Rubbery bacon, undercooked tomato and cold hash browns. Very nice coffee and tea though.

All dealings with the staff were great. A friendly helpful bunch.

The Receptionist did not advise that we book for dinner on checking in. We were there for a funeral so we were not thinking straight. The price we were quoted for some reason was in sterling.

The breakfast was good. You got what you asked for. The location is excellent in the heart of Monaghan town. Would recommend it for a short stay.

We couldnt sleep until after 3am with the noise from people partying downstairs/outside. Very lively spot with great night life but unfortunately my friend and I were there for a relaxing shopping break and not the night scene. We should have joined in the craic really. Breakfast was disappointing.

The hotel is so central and convenient for shops, restaurants, walks. The staff were so friendly! Myself and my friend got a very early check in at 11:30 without even having to ask. Easy accesable free off the main street. Lobby had a lovely aymosphere, chill during the day but wonderful lively vibe at night. Inhad lunch in the lobby/bar and it was very well presented and tasty. Bedroom was traditional, perfect size and had all we needed. The mugs provided for coffee were decent sized and not the typical small ones. Biscuits and water provided also. Room was warm and clean.

Bed was comfortable, but the duvet wasn't great. More of a blanket than a duvet. Light switches on the headboard are a little annoying if you prefer to lie in the middle of the bed. Minor complaints.

Very nice hotel lobby and bar area. Room had all the essentials provided. Shower was big and easy to use. Friendly staff.

Everything was grand, the room was quite small and cosy and it's an old style hotel.

We loved the location of the hotel, it was central to everything. We ate in the restaurant and it was fantastic, the dessert was out of this world.

While the rooms were smaller than the standard modern hotels, we appreciated it was an older hotel, and I must say that the rooms were were very clean and comfortable and had all the usual extra toiletries, so on reflection it was perfect for our stay.

Breakfast and choices were great, and the staff facilitated our son and partner for breakfast even though they were later down, Our rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable, Location was perfect, as everywhere we needed to go was within walking distance.

Breakfast might have been better as the eggs were a little tough/reheated. Otherwise we liked everything.

We had the lovely Diamond suite which was v spacious clean and comfortable, with big windows looking out to the monument and square. The room was very bright and sunny. We will come back again
