Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Very convenient to Trim, very nice couple running the accommodation. The best bed we had in Ireland! A king-sized bed, very clean, great value!

IrelandThere was nothing we didn't like, perhaps the sign on the road could be made more noticeable as both myself and my partner missed it as we drove by (on two separate occasions) and had to reverse down the lane a little bit to enter the gateway.
We were attending a wedding at the Station House Hotel in Kilmessan, this B&B was just a 10-12 minute drive away so it suited us perfectly, The hostess was very welcoming and made check in very simple and straightforward. The room was large, clean and very comfortable with a large bathroom including both a walk-in shower and a bath.

There was a nice book with information about nice places to o for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, It was like staying out in the country with a short drive many different sites and restaurants. The local pub and restaurant was great and a good recommended by our host. Everything looked brand new, up to date, and bed was amazing. Thank you!

AustraliaSome noise from adjoining rooms (mainly plumbing sounds, but loud enough to wake us). A little expensive, especially since no breakfast is offered.
Lovely comfortable accommodation in a peaceful area, not far from many of the attractions of the Boyne Valley. Plenty of room to park and accommodation is on the ground level so no stairs to climb.

United KingdomNo breakfast. But to be fair it wasn’t advertised as such (although the web site needs updating to reflect). Breakfast can be bought in Trim - 4km away. I think the price of accommodation compensates for the inconvenience. I suggested providing pre-wrapped croissants/pains/brioche as a stop gap. Or, bring your own? No TV in the room. However, a large TV is in the guest lounge.
Quiet, clean, spacious modern room, comfortable bed, plenty of parking, nice lounge and WI-FI. Kettle for tea/coffee available. A good base to explore the local sites. Cecilia very friendly (as was the dog). Information on places to eat is provided. There’s a pub 800 meters away that serves decent meals.

CanadaNothing we didn't like.
We were greeted enthusiastically by Penny, the dog. Next we received a warm welcome from the proprieters, who let us in early. They gave some good recommendations of 'things to do' around the area. The room was clean, spacious and bright, the bathroom large. The bed was very comfortable. The area is very quiet - it is not right in town so probably need a car to get to it. They do not serve breakfast here (which we were aware) but the room was equipped with a kettle, biscuits, and coffee/tea/hot chocolate for the morning.

AustriaNothing!
Cecilia is a great host and she welcomed us to her beautiful home, made us feel like staying with friends. She gave us a lot of information about the area, had maps ready. The room is very spacious, the bed is actually wide, which is not too common in Ireland, the bathroom has a shower and a bath tube, and is also very spacious. The area is very beautiful and quiet and it is only a short drive to the beautiful town of Trim. We had a great stay with Cecilia and will sure come back.

FranceCecilia is a wonderful host. Upon our arrival, she gave us a map showing the highlights nearby and in the larger, general area. Didn’t think we needed it, but we did. Yes, it’s available at the Tourist Office, but it saved us time and effort and very thoughtful of Cecilia to have it and give to her guests. Woodview Lodge is just 6 km from Trim and located in a lovely, quiet spot. re: food -Pat Quinn’s restaurant is halfway to Trim. Good for dinner, don’t know about breakfast. Castle Arch Hotel in Trim is good for both at reasonable prices. Now back to Woodview. SUPER CLEAN and quiet! Comfy bed and pillows. Large ensuite well supplied with good shower and great tub. Nice to have bottled water and cookies in the room as well as a great “Guest Directory” filled with a huge list of places to eat. Clearly, a lot of thought, time and effort went in to putting it together. Highly recommended‼️
