Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainNothing! Everything perfect!
Everything! The place is amazing and it was very easy to contact the owner, the reception. The whole place was for us, 2 terraces, a super big room, a big kitchen , and the hot shower was very good. He explained everything to us including a few restaurants. The village is very beautiful and quiet and the accommodation is very close to many restaurants and shops just by food. In the morning we had an awesome breakfast with fresh eggs! Thank you very much! totally recommended.

Israel* We were there in a middle of an extreme heat wave, so it took a while for the air condition to cool the main living area Note: It is not clear from the description that there is one main room which is the living room and bedroom(it's a very large space, with a TV area and fireplace and a second area with beds)
although the road to the property is on narrow allies inside the village google maps and Waze brought us up to the spot, the owner was extremely nice and gave us good recommendations on where to eat, the place is very charming and is an excellent selection for families, due to the space and nice gardens ( as part of the property ), the property is fully stocked with everything you can think of and it shows the owner spend thought on making sure the property has everything you can think and more ( for instance he left us fresh milk, popsicles for the kids in the fridge and a small bottle of olive oil from his personal olive grove ), the flat has a very well stocked and organized kitchen.

IsraelNothing
We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of this house. Currently it has a huge room that combines sleeping areas with a cozy relaxation zone with a TV and a fireplace. Also it has a big corridor with toys, a big kitchen and two private gardens. Our kids enjoyed playing there. It was like visiting a grandma's house. We didn't want to leave. And definitely we will come back. The village itself is very friendly and has plenty of interesting places nearby, such as the Sea of Galilee and Nazareth.

IsraelIf i HAVE to find something to complain, that might be the toilet? It's a bit hard to manage 5 people with 1 toilet. But hey, we were trying to experience the life in the 19th century weren't we?🤣
It's a magical house. Fully equipped with everything makes you feel like in home right away. It's located in a very friendly town and it's owner is super friendly and helpful too. Also Very Very clean.

United StatesFirst of all it’s the perfect location in beautiful northern Israel that puts you in an ideal place to travel to the Kineret, Tsfat, Haifa and more. This little house/villa truly was magical. We felt transported in time and yet every single modern comfort was thought about and available. So many charming details adorned the whole house, not least of which was the beautiful herb garden and the quaint terrace w chickens. ♡ Ramez met us to open the house and showed us around the place and where we could find everything we might need. He was so warm and hospitable and it like we were personal guests. The entire town is very quaint and again, transports you to another place and time w the narrow streets and stone buildings. Many of the locals drive golf carts around the town to get through these little streets w ease. All the people we met in the local restaurants were also incredibly warm and nice. Skip the generic and surely more expensive hotel and make your accommodations themselves part of the unforgettable memories.

CanadaSuper for families! Two courtyards for playing outdoors. One even has chickens. Our twin 5yo boys and friends’ 2yo daughter had so much fun they can’t wait to go back. Conveniently located near quite a few nature reserves and national parks. We took a day trip for a gentle hike then came back to town for takeout shawarma. 10/10.

IsraelEilabun is a beautiful village and we enjoyed the short stroll to the village center. One should know, however, that many streets (including the one where the villa is located) have no pavements, and be careful, especially with children. People we met were friendly and kind.
Ramez's place is magical indeed. It is one of those places you'll remember, as it is very special. The bedroom is huge, charming, and very unique the two courts are large and lovely. Our kids loved the gorgeous chickens and spent all their time with them... Ramez was a wonderful host. He met us in person, and was very attentive and responsive to all our questions and requests. He was also very generous and we felt very welcome.

IsraelThe house is very spacious and has a special atmosphere. The enclosed gardens are tranquil and are a great place to sip a cup of tea brewed from the mint the grows in the gardens. Bonus: Enjoy listening to the light chatter of chickens and the occasional rooster call from the small chicken coop in one of the gardens. Ramez, our host, and all the people we met in the village of Ailaboun were very friendly and helpful.
