Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaI think the doors to rooms could be more secure, it would be lovely if there also were safes in the room.
Breakfast was very nice and omelettes were always delicious. Mona was very sweet, forever had a smile and was extremely helpful. The common areas were great and allowed for lounging after a day of touring. The location is ideal as you are at the edge of old city and a few quick steps from many great restaurants. Many historical attractions within walking distance.

Czech RepublicWe came on Saturday at noon. On Saturday and Sunday, the city was overcrowded, especially around the lunch time. It was not possible to park the car (even to go through the town in the car) when we came, but this changed already at about 2pm. Also WiFi was very weak and unreliable the whole day on Saturday and Sunday. From Monday on, everything changed and there were no more problems. In the hotel, hot water was available only in a very limited time in the morning.
Traditional old building in the centrum of the city, with a fantastic atmosphere. Tasty and rich local breakfast. Very comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Central location near the historical sightseeing. Parking available in a near place for 50 ILS per day.

United StatesOur room was utterly lovely but the two beds in the room were a bit too narrow for our own sense of comfort. Next time around, we will request one "queen" size bed for both of us or simply ask to join the two twin beds.
The building was charming The guesthouse certainly met our preference for authenticity and character. The staff was attentive and responsive and the location, so close to the venues we wanted to visit in the old city, was perfect. We also liked the fact that each of the two floors in this wonderful guesthouse has only four rooms sharing a common area that can offer a private meeting lounge for families or friends traveling together.

Indonesiahard to find. I wish I knew the name of the bus stop I should get out and direction to do next. I met two other people who had difficulties to find this place. You are more concern about how to get into the room but not how to get to the location.

SpainThe room was very bright early in the morning as the top windows did not have a blind, so pack some sleeping masks.
Cosy familiar hotel with a real arab feeling and extremely close to the city centre of Nazareth and most tourist attractions (the annunciation basilicas, the souk and lively dining areas). The room was great with a comfortable bed and a great bathroom. There are lovely common areas with a shared fridge and relaxing indoor and outdoor areas for having a snack or just enjoying the charm (and the panorama in the top terrace!). The staff was extremely helpful and loving, both in person and over the internet. The breakfast was truly a highlight, a homemade middle east experience with great quantity and quality of choice sweet and savoury options. Free parking is available nearby but the area requires some skill maneuveing in tight spaces. Repeating at Al-Mutran would be a must if we return to Nazareth!

IsraelWe asked for two twin beds and instead we had a king size one. Fortunately it wasn’t a problem for us, but the hostel didn’t seem full so I guess we could have had a room that fitted our request.
The decoration was really pretty, with lot’s of vintage fournitures. The fountain at the first floor with the plants around also made the place really pleasant. The balconies at each floor were very nice to enjoy the view on the old city.

United KingdomThe bed was not comfortable and bed sheets were not fitting well. We could not close the upper windows meaning that in the early morning lots of light was coming in.
The location is great, few minutes walking from places of interest, café and restaurants. The building itself was gorgeous, inside and out, very nicely decorated with lots of character. The staff is very courteous, they offered us Turkish coffee every day and biscuits when we left. Smooth self check-in.

Very nice location, and very typic. A nice and quite place to relax, closed to the center, and also nice terrace. The breakfast was local meat, very good, and the woman at the reception was professional and very nice. Also the check in was good organized, as the guy gave us the entry code by phone, after having verify our booking.
