Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelNothing I can spot specifically.
The room was clean and not too small, nice design, located in the center of Tel Aviv, near the Rothschild street, everything close, bars, stores, cafes. Before we arrived, Daniel (guest relations manager) called us and offered a free breakfast, which was so nice of him.

NetherlandsThey have a nice swimming pool on the rooftop which was actually the reason we booked this hotel (to cool down after a long day of exploring in the sun) but ever single day the pool was packed with people! 0 space left anywhere. I think they open the pool to the outside which is a bummer as hotel guest can then not enjoy this facility (at least in our case)
The property is very nice in a good area of Tel Aviv, lots of fun coffee shops and brunch spots around. The room although a bit small was perfectly comfortable for 2 people and very nicely decorated and clean. We enjoyed our stay here.

GermanyThe swimming pool is very small and during day time was full of drunk people listening to loud music from their giant (like 1m) speaker. I don’t think it should be allowed?

BelgiumThough I understand about Sabbath, it's a pity on saturdays there's no "real" coffee, no scrambled eggs... It's not dramatic at all, but I prefer some more religious neutrality.
A lot of different options, though the "european" options were not that big (bread, corn flakes, meat, cheese) Good location, friendly staff, nice gym, swimming pool

IsraelThe pool area from my perspective is practically unusable, it has very few sun beds for a hotel with a lot of rooms, it is super crowded with people bringing their very loud music and overall not a pleasant experience you would expect from a hotel with a pool where most people would prefer calmly chilling around the pool.
Hotel is in a really good location, rooms are very nicely designed and comfortable, staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good

The breakfast offering was amazing, however, it was not enjoyable to have breakfast there because it was over-crowded, people were acting extremely stressed (even though staff was on top of it that all food was constantly available) and it was very loud too.
The person that made the coffee at the breakfast was really friendly, making our day. The room was beautiful, especially the bathroom. The pool was the best part of our stay! Also upon check-in we received a gift for our anniversary.

AustraliaThe hotel is basically an Instagram spot, but that is about it. Attention to details is completely lacking - taking the pool area as an example: Tables are broken, light globes do not properly hang on the wall, buttons & lights in the elevator are missing; some fridges don't work in the rooms and creates sparks (and reception tells us that this is not an issues while we have a 4 year old in the room); knowledge of reception is very limited and there is no intention to research anything; pool area closes at 6pm which is hard to understand if you want to sit there to enjoy the evening sun - this should be advertised during booking as a big draw back of this hotel. I could go on and on. If you book this hotel because it is cool and in a great area and you want to do Instagram - perfect, go for it. If you are looking for a hotel with attention to details, go somewhere else.

United StatesWe were ok with it but hotel elevator stopped functioning a few times and we had to take 6 flights of stairs ( which can use some cleaning) . The shower does not have a door and water can overflow to the rest of the bathroom. Additionally there are exposed beams on the ceilings which I liked, but some people may find unappealing and also gives off dust onto the light fixtures. But still even with all the dislikes , the price to value here is unbeatable .
Staff was super nice specially the front desk manager Ira. Location was great and good breakfast. Cool and hip style . Great value for the price.
