Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MexicoYou can't choose in advance if you want a low or high capsule, so if you have a late check-in and you are an elderly person or with mobility issues, you will have a high capsule anyways. One of the girls in the staff was rude, when we arrived, there was nobody in the reception, we got in, sat in the living room, and drank a glass of water, because there was 90° outside. Well, the girl told us we could't use the facilities, because we haven't made check -in. Unbelievable!!
Common area was nice, location is great!

ChileI really liked everything. Perhaps, one aspect to improve is the locking of the cabins. If you want, you can ask for a padlock to keep your cabin locked, but it will still allow a gap of the doors. A door lock would be a better solution.
The staff is really friendly and helpful. The size of the capsule is enough to be inside comfortable (and I am 185 cm tall). The bathrooms are cleaned regularly, which is nice. I found the location good, within walkable distance from the main street, old city and even the bus station (well, if you have "good legs"). The shared space is nice and ample, and the kitchen practical and clean . They offer free coffee, tea and also milk (which I liked). I would certainly return here if again in Jerusalem.

IsraelI would have wanted the manager to help me cancel my reservation since I already had a place to stay.
I was very happy with how clean the place was, the staff was very kind and friendly, the place genuinely exceeded my expectations. I will gladly return one day and I will recommend this place to others.

United Arab EmiratesIt will be better if they can add a mirror in each room so it will be much easier rather than going to the comfort room. Also, I recommend adding a bidet in the washroom toilet for a more hygienic way of cleaning.
I like the idea of how they come up with the capsule-type room which is good, especially for solo travelers. So far, our stay has been good from the moment we checked in and checked out.

Philippinesnothing, the quality is more than enough for the budget price. it was so nice of them and well-thought of. Highly recommended.
The best budget hotel where it combines comfort, simplicity, and economy. Very nicely located right at the City Center so everything is a walk away. Wonderfully provided minibar where you can heat your food, and free tea or coffee. There is a vending machine too for water or snacks. Sheets and bed are clean. Comfortable for sleeping. Friendly staff and clean bathrooms and toilets, the toiletries are well provided. One has to respect the order and cleanliness as it is like self service with a responsibility.

BrazilIn my opinion the capsules were not sound proof. I've stayed at the capsule number 64, close to the bathroom door and I could hear every time someone went to the bathroom.
I really liked the location of the property, as well as the confort of the bed and the lockers.

United KingdomOut of respect for the other guests, I couldn't talk on the phone and my last night I had the bad luck of meeting a neighbor who was snoring, it seemed that he was riding a motorcycle.
Very comfortable mattress but I think there must be price differences between the top and bottom boxes.

TaiwanIt is a hostel so you will still have all kinds of people staying with you. People might come in to room late and make noises or got up early like I did. I personally tried to be quiet like a cat but I still thought I would wake up one or two. Maybe not suitable for light sleeper. Space wise might be tight for some, but it’s good to be in capsule to have privacy instead of covered by thin curtain. There are locker and shoes rack as well so no need to worry about your valuables as long as it’s locked.
The capsule hostel is great. For me it’s well maintained. Staffs constantly checking the cleanliness of toilet and common area. Friendly staffs gave me really good tour of hostel. I have good impression thanks to Zehava. Location is just amazing that you have everything around and so close to old city and tram station for sightseeing. I would totally recommend for people travelling in Jerusalem on a budget.

United StatesTiny nuisances: no paper towels in the women’s bathroom but can use the bath towel they provide you. Lights stayed on most night until 12am which was a tad annoying but the capsule blocked out most of the light.
The staff was very warm and friendly. Enjoyed having a mini kitchen, fridge and they provide instant coffee and tea available all day. Capsule was spacious, clean and very comfy - relatively sound proof as well. Fantastic location with great coffee & eats nearby. This was my first time staying in a hostel like place and I cannot recommend this place enough. Felt incredibly safe the entire time and was in perfect walking distance to all the sites I wanted to explore around Jerusalem and the old city. If traveling with a larger suitcase, you can store it at the front & you can ask for a lock for your capsule as well. Would 100% stay here again!
