Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Israelbarbara and guy are unique. people who work from the heart who make you feel at home and go out of theur way to help in every possible way. early this morning, on a Saturday, when everybody is still asleep, as we were leaving the hotel, we discovered that our car would not start. within minutes they roped another guest to the help and all 3 of them rushed over to help us start the car, giving us further advice, where we can fix our car. this is not our first visit to the hotel and we are sure to come back and tell our friends about this unique treasure

BelgiumSince the beginning, the staff has been extremely friendly, They even stayed with me on the line until I parked my car in the free parking next to the hotel. I really liked how they preserved the over 200 year old building and put a lot of light, good energy and modernity in it. The room itself was big enough for 3 people and it was very well furnished. the cafe area was always full of cookies, coffe and diffrent type of teas, the backyard was the place I spent the most of the time, I met new people that also travel in Tel aviv at the same time, and we shared great evnings, the enery of the place is amazing. I had everything I need 24/7. Thank you, Chen from Brussels.

IsraelA small thing- you can add some hangers to the room.
The hotel is very nice and Barbara and Guy are very welcoming. The garden is lovely and you have free coffee/tea/cookies all the time. We were 3 in the room and it was comfortable. Free car park very nearby.

IsraelThe attentive, friendly staff of the hotel made us feel welcome and at home. They clearly took a personal interest in our comfort and satisfaction. Coming at a challenging time in the country, this was more than refreshing. It was reaffirming our hope for better days.

United StatesThe parking garage that serves the property is cramped, but there is also parking in a lot across the street from the property that had plenty of space. The room did have a faint musty smell. We didn't stay but a matter of hours, considering we had to depart for the airport really early in the morning, so it was tolerable. For tall people, some rooms are going to feel too short for you, due to low ceilings.
We stayed one night as a place to set out to the Tel Aviv airport for an early-morning flight. It proved to be a straightforward drive in our rental car from the property to the airport, especially in the early-morning hours with little traffic on the streets. The staff was very friendly. The situation was really fluid during our stay due to a war having broken out, but everyone was really accommodating. The building is a historic property, and the rooms are quite unique. There is a beautiful, landscaped garden and patio. It does have a room set aside as a safe room. The location is within easy driving distance (maybe 10 minutes or so) of the historic Jaffa neighborhood and beach.

IsraelI would have liked to stay longer!!
We are returning guests to LaLa, and it is everything I look for in a boutique hotel experience. Clean, safe, comfortable, unique, creative, and personable. So much thought has gone into the facilities, design, and amenities. No, it is not a 5* Corperate Hotel experience. It is much, much better!

United StatesI absolutely love this hotel! The rooms are very authentic with a cave-style ceiling mixed in with modern decor and the garden was beautiful. Barbara and the staff offered excellent customer service 24/7. As for location, it is a 20-30 minute walk to Old Jaffa which was not bad at all. Overall, I highly recommend!

IsraelThat we had to check out and go home!
Lala is a real find. We we liked staying there so much the first time, we returned to stay a second time. 😀 The rooms are comfortable and well designed. I love the old combined with the new in the building. The staff is wonderful, and respond to every request quickly. The coffee machine is a blessing! A minutes walk is a grocery and bakery. Together with the small fridge in the room, we were set for breakfast. I did not miss the hotel buffet experience at all. One evening, after a tiring day, we ordered dinner to be delivered and ate in the patio, which was perfect.

Israel🤷♀️ I honestly can not think of anything !
LALA is a gem of a Boutique Hotel in South Tel Aviv. Our stay exceeded my expectations. Fantastic personal service, clean, comfortable, well designed in good taste. Loved the lobby coffee machine and snacks. Loved the outdoor patio area, where one morning we brought pastries from the bakery next door and yogurt for breakfast. Loved feeling safe and at home. Thank you!!

CanadaThe property is just beyond walking distance to the main beaches in Telaviv, but I knew that when I booked, so not really a complaint; just an observation. I have zero complaints about the property, the service or the staff.
The staff are super friendly and super communicative. I had to ask a few questions via whatsapp and I would receive a reply in under a minute. The property is walking distance to Yafo. If you want to visit the beaches in Telaviv you will need either a car or scooter, but there is a parking lot right across the street if you have a rental. The room was spacious, clean and well decorated. There is a wonderful little bakery 30 metres away where you can buy the most delicious chocolate croissant.
