Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe bed sheets weren’t clean, there were some white stains. The mattress isn’t very comfortable, very hard.
Nice small outdoor place with chairs, equipped kitchen and shower and jacuzzi. Amirim is beautiful.

IsraelIt took a very long time to get hot water in the shower, which was a shame since they specifically aim to save water. My husband found the beds too hard.
Breakfast was not part of the deal. The location was excellent. That's why we went there

United KingdomNot one thing!
The location is incredible. Amirim is so beautiful and full of flowers and butterflies and hills and forests! The room itself was a luxurious little place - a jacuzzi and a balcony too! How spoilt I was! And on top of that all the thoughtful little additions and surprises - sweets and snacks and wine and even bath robes. It was all totally spotless and so quiet! I was there for a writing retreat to concentrate on editing my book and it couldn’t have been more perfect. I wrote both in the beautiful little log cabin at the table and outside using the garden furniture on the balcony in the shade and the sun, overlooking the mountains. I felt so peaceful and at home - and you even messaged me to check everything was ok. Thank you - I’ll definitely be back soon!

United StatesThe location is fantastic. We liked the rustic feel of the guesthouse and the views from each of our rooms was breathtaking. The hosts have a wonderful history and story around the Moshav and it's vegetarian/vegan roots.

IsraelDelightful log cabin with bedroom, sitting room and large balcony with magnificent views over the Galil mountains down to Lake Kinneret. Chocolates on the pillows, nuts, dried fruit, healthy bars and a little bottle of wine for our enjoyment. We're planning to return very soon

United StatesJust a few things: TV did not get internet, so no Netflix or other streaming. Hot tub is literally in the living room, so running the water and trying to watch TV don't really work out together. Heaters/mini splits are really tough to figure out and get the temperature just right. Wish they came with instructions.
Depends on what you are looking for. Location was quiet, green/lush and private. But fairly far from conveniences and things to do for the kids. So make sure you plan accordingly.

IsraelAt first it was kind of hard to find, and I had to call the administration to ask for directions. The directions from their website via Google maps don't take you to the the guest houses themselves, but just to the neighborhood. So it could be signalized more clearly
They are helpful and try to do the best

IsraelSome minor details could be upgraded.
The pictures don't do justice to the amazing view. From the balcony of the suite we stayed in, you can se both the sunrise (over the sea of Galilee) and the sunset. Room was very spacious, and the hosts thought of every detail to make the stay pleasant

IsraelNothing negative, however I’m fairly short and since the oven in our unit was on top of the fridge, I had to stand on a chair to use it. I was ok with it but would have probably asked them to move it if I was going to use it more than once.
Great view, secluded private units didn’t feel like anyone else was there, private parking, pet friendly and very good instructions for everything from arrival/checkout to using everything in the unit as well as recommendations for things in the area. The kitchen had everything we needed, I was happy to see the large fridge since we brought most of our own food. Jacuzzi was wonderful and I really enjoyed the wet sauna in the shower! The village pool is also nice, not too crowded for this time of year. The hosts were non intrusive but made it clear they are available if we needed anything.
