Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe rooms are a little small and cramped, but on the other hand, the rooms are spotless, updated, and are well designed and feature anything and everything that you could want. The breakfast is mediocre and doesn’t offer much variety. It is adequate. It is all self-service.
Location is absolutely perfect. The guesthouse is an oasis of tranquility. The building is charming and the interior courtyard is absolutely wonderful. A place to relax and unwind.

IsraelBreakfast was an afterthought of poor planning, not much prepared fresh on the premises :(
The grounds are amazing....English gardens studded with many types of roses and vast courtyards. Beautiful rooms and lounge. Bathroom needs updating as some of the fixtures were leaky ;/

CanadaThe bed in room two is extremely soft - some people like that but I couldn’t sleep at all. Also the road outside was noisy and I thought maybe during such a slow time they could have given me a quieter room.
Beautiful building, very helpful and friendly staff

Super traditional Palestinian breakfast, varied hot dishes day by day. Excellent location. Tranquil garden with fruit trees and a small fountain -full of birdsong.

GermanyEverything was just fine.
The place inspires peace and tranquility. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the stay in the surroundings of the hotel and its inner orchard is simply wonderful. About 15 minutes walk from the old city.

United KingdomNo lifts Only had one pillow per bed, I think two would have been ideal. Very small window in our room.
Great hotel, lovely historical building. Beautiful courtyard garden. Buffet breakfast. St George’s Cathedral is next to the hotel, this is a great place for prayers, reflections and church services. The hotel is a wonderful place for a pilgrimage. Nice and helpful staff. Great location. Shivte Israel tram/light rail stop is only 3 minutes away. Markets, shops and restaurants is also a few minutes walk away - all on Salah Ad-din Street.

Czech RepublicStreet under the room window - however this is difficult not to heve in this part of Jerusalem close to the Old city.
The facility is very nice - I liked especially the great garden. Also it was possible to enter ether monastery facilities or claim the roof and have a nice view from there.

New ZealandA couple of the staff seemed to regard guests as a bit of a nuisance. Dinner, while nice enough, was expensive - it's better to go outside and eat locally.
Pleasant, characterful accommodation in an historic building complex in East Jerusalem. An easy 10 minute walk to the Damascus Gate and the Old City. Staff with one or two exceptions generally helpful and the generous buffet-style breakfast (included in the price) will set you up for a day exploring.

United StatesApartment we expected to stay in was up many stairs (no elevator), wife couldn't climb that many stairs. So instead we took the single room we had booked for our daughter which was on main floor - that turned out OK.
Nice historical look to the facility. Nice courtyard garden. Large rooms. Location close to old city. Breakfast was typical local fare. Helpful staff.

NetherlandsThe beds were too hard. They're equipped with box springs but without a covering soft mattress. I would recommend the management to add soft covering mattresses on top
the garden is very beautiful and shaded and cool. You can enjoy drinks from the bar, though a bit expensive. The rooms are well airconditioned.

CyprusDon't expect too much from the room. The furniture and sanitary ware are old. The room and bathroom are small. The wi-fi signal in the room was weak. The breakfast was also relatively modest. So, the room is at the level 3 star hotel
The location is very good - close to the old city and to the tram station. Also, the hotel is a part of a religious complex, built in a very nice classic style. The yard and the common areas of this hotel are excellent.
