Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelWe could have used more instruction on how to use the AC. We aren't familiar with the Israeli "mazgen" so another moment of how-to would have been useful.
Location couldn't be beat, being one block off Dizengoff. We had all the convenience and none of the noise. Hosts Kobi and Nurit were like family. I look for no bugs and cleanliness when I travel - Wonderful was wonderful.

GermanyThe shared bathroom could be cleaner, but it was okay. For some people it could feel embarrassing to live together with the hosts, but we felt alright with it. There were a lot of cockroaches outside the apartment. I guess that’s something you can hardly change in Tel Aviv.
Small but nice room in a quite street of a lovely neighborhood with a lot of bars, restaurants and cafés, not far from the beach. There is coffee and tea for free in the shared kitchen. The hosts (who live in the same apartment) were very welcoming and helpful. Outside the apartment, there is a terrace where you could have breakfast.

United KingdomNot sure we understood from the listing that shared spaces are shared with the host family (maybe I read but didn't understand). They were lovely, but my wife would have liked me to tell her this beforehand! :)
Friendly helpful hosts made us feel very welcome. Amazing location few mins walk from the sea, endless great places to eat nearby. Wonderful kitchen / shared spaces. Great value for location!

JapanEverything was perfect.
One of the most wonderful things I experienced while I was in Tel Aviv was staying at this place. Kobi & Nurit are just amazing people and they will help you for anything. The place is located in a lovely place a few minutes away from the street full of restaurants, bars, supermarkets, etc. 10 minutes away from the beach on foot. The place is clean and cozy. You have your own key to the place so you can go in and out anytime, showroom is for the guests only and it’s available 24H. Cold filtered water is available which is essential in the summer in Tel Aviv. Plenty of clean towels. You will share the kitchen and sitting room with the owner, but they will make you feel like home. Everything you need for cooking is available if you want to cook too.

GermanyI loved this place. The Garden is so natural and beautiful. The Owner are really nice and friendly. They help you with everything. The Place is near the beach and near restaurants and stores. You always feels like coming home. The Owner give you the feeling, that you really welcome and that they enjoy to get to know you if you want this. So I really recommend this place. Its clean and all new. There are Buses everywhere, so you can travel easy with the puplic transportations. Thanks again for this amazing holiday!

ItalyEverything was perfect.
Kobi was an amazing host and went above and beyond to assist with anything I might have needed. The location is the best, Dizengoff is a minute walk, the best beaches are 5 minute walk, at the same time very quiet. The bathroom is equipped with everything you might need, even shower gel, multiple towels. Fresh water is provided free by the Host Kobi always from a machine. This might sound simple but in Israel is important. The small yard outside is nice and cozy.

RussiaA permanent resident, Gilat, lives on the property. He is unfriendly and sullen, will speak rudely to you in raised tones. Of course, we received no apology from the owner. Full confidence in their own rightness and impunity. Grill and jacuzzi was out of order, drying machine was fully occupied by Gilat, coffee machine was working but for each capsule you should ask permission from Gilat, so it was great that we do not like to drink coffee. It was not funny to see how Gilat afraid that we can use his salt. Also be aware that living room and kitchen is a shared space for the guests of 3 rooms plus in addition Gliat who is settled in the small wooden house in the garden.
The apartment is cozy, but the service is just disgusting! Camera installed in the living room, recording your every step. Owner making photos of the guests . We searched our bedroom and shower room, but found no other cameras apart as shown at my photo. The owner takes pictures of your every step and takes screenshots for himself without any permission from your side. Be extremely careful! Your privacy is at risk. On the other side very good location, close to the sea. Small patio. It's cozy inside, lots of little things. Dishwasher, fridge, ice-freezer, microwave, electric plate, washing machine, tea boiler working well, all kitchen accessories are in place. Big TV set in living room plus TV in the room. Bed was big and comfortable. Lockers at the window and doors was in working condition. We loved to used garden to do our morning excersices. But, unfortunately, everything is blocked by a rude owner and disgusting service. Almost all the time there was no hot water. After many requests and persuasion, the owner agreed to turn it on, but this helped only once. You have to ask him again and again. The owner will assure you that there is water, and its absence is a hallucination :) for the second week of our stay there was no hot water.

RomaniaTo start with, the owner was late at the appointment. As a few negative comments of clients who stayed earlier, the reality doesn’t match the description of the place. Amenities and service (free beverages) are not what is in the description. For those of you coming by car, indeed the street isn’t for non residents after 5 pm. So you may risk a fine, the nearest public parking is 2.8 km away. What bothered me the most is that a cleaning fee of +35 euros were charged through the booking system after the confirmation of the payment, for a room less than 10 sqm with shared bathroom. The lining, towels were clean but worn out. We even found a spider under the blanket. And the owner occupied the living room in the evening turning the tv volume loud enough that we could hear it loud in the bedroom. Not to mention the kitchen sink with unwashed dishes from the same owner and other strange habits such as his electric shaver on the dining table. I’m writing this for the sake of helping whoever reads this revue not to make the same mistake. And avoid the scam of the room displayed on booking.com at 281,60 but ending with a bill of 408 shekel!!!
