The staff was not good enough they didnt tell us about the breakfast was not free after we book the room and eat the breakfast at the end while we gave thim the room key and get out they charged the breakfast money

Hotel pushed me to charge my credit card exchange rate of 1usd=1610 but in the market it was 1310. it means they overcharge. i had to pay 70 usd fee to a person pay hotel in cash. i would like thank Mr. Ali kazmi in the hotel for his support however.

The property was abit damaged on corners. Visible cigarette damage on walls and ceiling. Me and my son went to the Holy Shrine for around 45 minutes and waited for the shuttle to come. We ended up waiting around 50 minutes in 48 degree celsius heat with the sun in our eyes. We tried to call them before the Pick up time which was every 30 minutes and the line on their card did not ring even though i had an Iraqi Sim card. I looked online for the phone i called and my call was DECLINED! We went to them and asked them for at least compensation or even at least an apology for not meeting their promises made and they just shrugged it off saying nothing at all. My son ended up getting a nosebleed from the heat and he was very desperate for the toilet and we could not do anything for 50 whole minutes!! If it wasn’t for this then they would’ve achieved a better score but we had terrible customer service all way round. They don’t even care about you and didn’t have any sense of remorse in their faces. Furthermore, they induced a policy saying that there is no food from other restaurants to be brought inside. However they do not mention this policy at all except on the small wifi sheet and it is mentioned in bad print in ARABIC. So for anyone else that does not understand will not even be able to understand and it is BEYOND RARE for anyone to notice this. They made my son eat on a bench outside the hotel and didn’t even allow him to leave his food at reception for a second whilst he gets his phone. They told him to either throw it in the bin or eat outside!!!! Furthermore, one of the biggest problems is at the pool there was NO lifeguard. I honestly don’t understand how they are 5 star and “highly recognised” and not even have a lifeguard for kids who go to the pool. Anyone can literally drown especially little children. I don’t know how they assure that there is safety of everyone yet there is no LIFEGAURD or even SUPERVISOR.

First the fragrance in the hotel area was sharp and annoying. My room was changed two times. First I got a smoking room, then the second room was terrible due to the music of a wedding party in the second floor (I was not able to sleep at all). The third room's bathroom wall was cracked and a terrible smell annoyed us all the time (facility people came and claimed that they fixed it but it was not fixed. Hotel was far from Haram and one morning, the shuttle was not available at the time they said (every half an hour) and we waited for an hour for a shuttle. This hotel looks nice but it is not what you pay for. I also asked for a discount because I was not satisfied (which most of the nice hotels policies like Hilton include) but the manager refused and charged me the whole price although I had this much difficulties during my stay.

The only plus for this hotel is the breakfast. It includes most of the options I expected and better than the other hotels I stayed during my visit at Iraq.

My last stay was May 2021. The quality of the hotel has gone down since then. The breakfast is really stale and uninviting. The swimming pool had murky water which led me to leave it alone. It has gone down in quality.

Nothing really that I can say I didnt like.

The hotel was exceptional, coming from the UK I already had high expectations and The Baron met all of them. Room was tidy, spacious and bed was fantastic. Highly recommended.
