Location. Very quiet and close to a small village with a restaurant. When we arrived we saw some small whales close to the harbour.. amazing! The cabin had everything we needed and was already cozy and warm when we arrived. The hottub is a nice bonus after a long day of hiking and driving. Nice oasis close to Akureyri!

Cozy, quiet. Great for a few nights as a home base for exploring Akureyri, Lake Myvatn, Husavik, etc... Very quiet. There was still a lot of snow and muddy meltoff on the ground, so we couldn't really explore the grounds too much, but it looked like it will be absolutely beautiful later in the year.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable cottage in the middle of a forest! The accommodation was very cosy, with a very well equipped kitchen to prepare dinner. We only stayed here 1 night, but it was beautiful! We also made use of the heated pool located in the woods and it was wonderful!!!

Fully equipped kitchen with basic supplies (salt, pepper, cooking oil, tea, coffee), comfy bed and very good heating for winter times. Amazing whirlpool, perfect for relaxing and warming up after a cold day. :) Excellent value for money and super nice host!

You have to leave cold water running, that the pipes don't freeze. That's waste of water and absolut unacceptable!!

Stay was awesome and all the facilities are v v good!! Location is mind blowing!! Only thing to keep in mind is they do not have a hot tub as mentioned in booking.com, we confirmed the same with owner.

We were sad we didn't get to see the dogs and cats as we left early and only stayed one night. The place was really great, nothing else to dislike.

We were greeted by the host's mum who was very friendly and helpful. The cabin is in the woods near a hottub and bbq area, with paths and fairy light connecting them. The woods mean it's very sheltered, and quite unique to Iceland. The cabin itself was clean, really snug, and had everything you need (even tea and coffee), with an ensuite including a shower. It was warm, the kitchen was well equipped, the bed was very comfortable, and there was a TV with DVDs. There were even cards and a board game.

The cozy decoration in the cabin. The cabin surrounding with trees. It has everything that we need. Kitchen appliances is sufficient for self cooking. Enjoy our one night stay there. We saw aurora over the lake next to the parking.

The ‘demented’ thrush that kept launching itself at our cabin window between 4:30 am and 6:30 am. Maybe it was drunk on fermented berries 😂.

The whole cabins are self made and there is a lot you can use as well like a hot tub or a BBQ. It’s lovely and cozy and very quiet. We had everything we needed and were very satisfied. Would recommend to others!

The quiet and cosy cabin, sitting in the warm cabin in the serene forests was just magical. As it was snowing heavily at Akureyri in the middle of March, we decided to spend most of our day here. Enjoyed the hot tub in the forest.
