Tiny shower stalls and short shower curtain, which made it difficult not to flood the bathroom floor.

Great central location in Golden Circle, nice natural setting and proximity to many highlights, fantastic restaurant where one can enjoy beef burgers and ice cream while watching the source, i.e., the cows!

For the price asked, I did not expect to line up standing in from of the cashier for 15 minutes to order food. The line and the pay in advance system Clearly do not give incentive to order a refill. One feels in a cafeteria. a bit more staff and friendly interactions would make a great plus. Breakfast is so expensive that one would expect to find all items in the buffet rather than have to ask for them when they run away. Good portions are small. Rooms could include a mini fridge. Black out curtains would be a plus.

Efstidalur was a wonderful destination for our family. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, the food was excellent, the setting was unsurpassed. Guides on our horseback tour to Brúarfoss were exceptional, made us feel very comfortable.

nothing it was amazing!

omg the food is amazing and the room was just what we needed! I would recommend the steak, smoke trout, and burgers. we ate lunch and dinner as well as breakfast the next morning . Even if you don’t stay their you need to eat there and the ice cream is amazing but what would you expect since it comes from their dairy cows!!!!! Also getting to stay on a farm was a first and the beds were amazing and the hot shower .

The walls were thin--we were able to hear people in the next room. It was difficult to control the room temp. It was a bit warm for us, and it was difficult to find a setting to cool it down.

We enjoyed staying a Farmhotel Efstidalur II. It was neat being in a quiet area away from the city, and among the farm animals. The hotel restaurant is very good. We liked the grilled Arctic Char and home-made ice cream. The farm atmosphere was interesting and fun. We really enjoyed watching the cows from the restaurant. The room decor was nice, like a cabin, and had a heated floor.

The Farmhotel was amazing (how can it not be with ice cream shop on site and breakfast overlooking the cows eating their breakfast)! The rooms were quite comfortable and the location was close to the Golden Circle with an amazing waterfall hike located very close by the hotel. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Check in is a bit hit and miss as someone from the restaurant staff has to make time to explain how to get to the rooms and get you the key. And the restaurant is almost always busy.

The place is incredibly rustic in a good way - log cabin and all that. Pictures of the farm pets and horses on the walls Very warm, as we went in a colder period (April). Very close from Golden Circle attractions. Good restaurant with farm-to-table food, the farm being right there. En suite bathroom.

This was one of my favourite stops of the trip. The location is right on the golden circle route, between Thingvillir and Geysir. The farm is charming and the staff is friendly. The restaurant is awesome and it has a cool glass wall looking into the cow barn.

The bed was soft and kind of banana shaped. My friend slept on the cot and she said that was great. They need to get new beds.

Stayed overnight. Very cozy room with heated floor. Very friendly personnel, quirky view in the restaurant and café in the main building - windows separate you from the cow barn, so you could watch cows munching. Dinner at the restaurant was good. Excellent breakfast buffet with home made selection (breads, skyr, whey). Met two friendly dogs who work on the farm.

During our stay there was a bit of construction work going on (and noone told us beforehand). Also, horse riding activites were not offered yet.

We really loved our stay at this beautiful place! The rooms are nice and cosy and for our little girl especially the cows that you can see from the restaurant were a big plus. We also found a hot tub which was nice and the playground with the bunnies and chicken is great fun. We could change rooms to get one with a better view & really apprecciated it! The location is superb to explore the Golden Circle.
