We did have a problem with the toilet flush on the first night but we contacted the owners the following to let them know and by the time we had got back that evening it had been fixed. There is a smell of sulphur in the hot water but not enough to bother us and it’s to be expected in that area No view from the hot tub

We contacted the hosts beforehand and asked if possible could we have a lodge which was more away from the other lodges and they obliged . Location was great , easy to collect key from key safe . Owners were easily contactable if we needed anything. The hot tub water was nice and hot and it was clean.

Very cosy cabin, the location is great, the space is good and the hot tub is wonderful after a day out in the cold. It’s well located to visit a good number of the golden circle waterfalls. The food hall in the town close by is a great place to get some food.

Had such a great stay and saw the Northern Lights on our first night, just outside of our cabin! Beds were really comfy. I couldn’t imagine six people in there. It was just me and my mum. Hot tub takes a good two hours to heat up. We booked this for five nights and only used it twice and the second time it was pretty cold. Our front door wasn’t working and had to wait awhile for someone to come and help us nearly 4 hours. Luckily we managed to get through the back door which didn’t have a lock. Four out of five stars could do some more pots and pans to cook. Was quite pricey but very good location to drive to places. Definitely need a car!

We would of loved it if we had been helped to get transport from the town as we had no car and we didn't know it was five miles from the town,perhaps let people know how to get taxis as we couldn't get one so we had to walk with our luggage but the lodge was great

Bed was a bit too soft.

Property was clean, very cosy and well furnished. Enjoying the hot tub in freezing temperatures was a very good experience. Good location - easy to find and drivable to nearby supermarket and petrol stations.

Nothing ....even got used to the hot water smell after a while ( same all over Iceland ) heated from the ground

It's lovely warm comfortable cabin, that Jon and Rosa have The cabins are spaced out on a slope so are private and nice and quiet The hot tub is a added bonus and even when it's freezing and snowing it's nice and warm The location is great for exploring south Iceland on the main route No 1 Ten mins from Selfoss and 5 mins from supermarket and restaurants at Hivergerdi We loved our stay ......Many Thanks

Everything was great! This is our second stay and I can definitely say it was as perfect as it was the first time. Facilities and locations are great. Location for Golden circle is ideal and if conditions are good then it's a great place to grab a glimpse of the Aurora! Cannot recommend this place enough!

Althou the beds are super cosy, as it's a double bunk bed, it's not comfortable to use as a double bed for 2. Being up against the wall, it's difficult for the one (me) who always gets the short straw and has to sleep next to the wall.

The dirrct hotsprings hot tub keeps us coming back for more! The lodge is cosy and so much privacy. Feels like we are in the outback but with the convenience of a supermarket 5 drive away.

I wish the shower had a little shelf to put your shampoo and soap.

The shower was quite tight but manageable. Given the length of our stay it would have been great if we had some cleaning products just to keep the bathroom nice. We struggled a bit with cooking as we were missing a few bits like baking trays and smaller saucepans. Some cereal bowls would be great. This wasn’t an issue for us but the stairs are quite steep and something to be considered when travelling with young children (2 of the 8 available beds were upstairs)

We loved our stay here, we would 100% come back, the beds were so comfy, cabin was warm, the outside space was excellent and the hot tub really easy to use. We were really comfortable here for the 5 nights we stayed. Wifi worked perfectly, sitting area and table were perfect. Beds were made on arrival 😊

The view was perfect, location was great, easy to find. We loved how secluded and private it was, but so close to town. We would definitely come back!

The beds are small and built in as bunks so not great for couples. The cabins technically sleep 6 I think but I would find it very confined with more than 3-4. Bathroom needs refurbishing, cracked floor tiles and almost no water pressure in the sink (shower was fine)

Peaceful retreat with plenty of space around it. Other cabins were far enough away that you had complete privacy. Very comfortable living space. Hot tub was great fun even though we had poor weather. We didn’t meet the hosts at all but the communication and keybox entry was perfect.

The (in this area unavoidable!) sulfurish smell of the water needs some time to get used to, but for us actually added to the charm of this accomodation.

Nice and spacious cottage. Lots of privacy. Loved the hot-tub. For us, this was the start of a 3 wk road trip through Iceland, but the location is also perfect if you only have time to visit Iceland's golden circle.

The cottage is simple but perfectly adequate for a comfortable stay in the south of the country. The location is very practical, close to 2 towns that have all necessary amenities.
