Everything was functional, but the amenities are a bit dated. An update of some could be something to consider.

The view, the landscape and the way how the house fits in it. We feel that we are in a postcard. It's a hantingly beautiful place and house. The host is so nice, she welcomed us so well.

The host does not speak English so that was a bit challenging. Her daughter was able to take our payment later in the evening.

The house was large and comfortable. It had a great refrigerator and was stocked enough to be able to do some cooking. The bed was comfortable and the setting was amazing! We would stay there again.

Simple accommodation at the West cost. It's in the middle of nowhere. House has all you need, furnitured very simple and cosy. Nice view from dining room. Thanks a lot.

We had a nice couple of days here during the end of the year. The cottage is big and well-equipped, the location is wonderful (especially if you want to discover the peninsula) and we even saw the northern lights through the bedroom windows. Not sure if it's the right accomodation for the end of December as the cottage isn't really warm (especially due to the strong winds I guess), but we really liked the place. And there's a great café/restaurant just a few kms away :)

It is located on a vast empty plain with in the far distance the sea. There are fields with horses around the house and not much else. We were a bit unlucky with the weather (fog, lot's of clouds, rain). This made the environment of the house a bit boring. People that love horse riding will probably like it better. There is a hot tub, but it is located in front of the house of the owner (?) and it was unclear to us whether we could use it. It might be an idea to add a private hot tub in front of the property itself.

We booked this place as a base for exploring the Snaefellsness peninsula. The house is quite simple (we knew that upfront) and the furniture is a bit old (but comfortable and clean). The beds are fine. There is wifi. It was clean. There is a small kitchen, a gas barbecue and the house is situated far enough from the road to be quiet.

I wouldn’t know now to rate the property I booked because the host had us stay in a second location the day of check in. When we arrived at the home another car pulled in at the same time as us claiming the had also booked the property. When I called the host she told me that “last minute” something had gone wrong with the toilet and we wouldn’t be able to stay there because the plumbing needed fixed. I asked her why there was another car there to check in and she said it was maintenance… but in fact it was another family from Minnesota that booked the house on AirBnB. Then she had her elderly mother show us to the other property which is not listed on booking.com and was a totally different experience than what we planned for and paid for.

We learnt on the day that the chalet I had reserved was not available and we were taken to another smaller, less well-equipped cabin15 mins away. The hot tub was empty. There was no Wi-Fi.

It was in a remote calm setting close to the sea with good views.

The host was very strict and he was not disposable to change by 30 minutes the check in arrival hour; furthermore he did not tell us until the end that there were problems with the accomodation we booked (he found a solution for us but was more far)

In the website said there are 3 bedrooms. Actually when we arrived there we find there is one proper bedroom in downstairs, other 2 bedrooms in upstairs. One room doesn’t have room door which is fully open space. Upstairs just a attic. There’s no stairs only ladders which is impossible to take your luggage to upstairs and very dangerous for people up and down . we have 3 couples booked this house so it’s most uncomfortable holiday house in our trip. Toilet paper very limited. Before we check out there’s none toilet paper.

Kitchen and living room is big and comfortable . Owner lives nearby which is easy to talk them.

Signs are difficult to see. But I do NOT hold this against the owners. It seems to be how it is in Iceland. So keep an eye out for a sign to Hömluholt (leads on to a gravel road)

Even though I was travelling on my own, I had a huge cottage for myself that could have accommodated many more people. Clean and well equipped.
