A bit noisy (door slamming) in the evening. But seems normal for a hostel anyway.

Good place to stay, clean and spacious. The decoration is cool Food is good too and at a good price.

The lockers just by the door of the dorm were easily hit when walking in, making it unnecessarily noisy, could’ve been a map over the bedlayout on the door so you’d know where your bed is

Plenty of showerrooms and quite easy going place, i was one of five in the 42 bed dorm, so felt very lucky

More information from the staff at check in would have been helpful e.g. directions to room and where to find the bathrooms / kitchen area. The cleaner was super friendly and happy to answer questions!

Great for solo travel. Easy to meet others but private enough to be alone when wanted. The 16 bedroom dorm was huge with a nice living area. Didn't feel like there were 16 of us in there at all!

It was a pretty noisy place. Construction during the day and partying at night.

The location was good. Views from the windows were great. Close to the center of town. There was a really good band playing on the weekend. The staff was wonderful and the kitchen had good food fairly cheap. I will stay again if in Reykjavik.

The bedroom doors are metal and would bang through the night due to how fast they closed. Also it's my own fault but I didn't realise that this hostel was more of a 'party social' hostel so it was a bit loud at night - this stopped at about 11pm. I did wear earplugs through the night so this was fine with me.

My first impression of the Hostel was how beautifully it was decorated, it had such a cosy and welcoming vibe! I unexpectedly got upgraded to a private room despite only staying for one night! I loved how the bathrooms were spread across the main hallway and they were all large and private (also uniquely decorated). It felt like no other hostel I had stayed in before, and the staff were lovely and accommodating. Strong wifi throughout and a lovely bar with an amazing view of the sea.

but as i was carrying a large suitcase, I was surprised that there was no lift at the hostel, so when i was dropped off, i was entering the hostel from the bottom floor, so i need to carry my suitcase to ground floor to the reception to check in first and then one more floor to the rooms. bathroom was not that clean but acceptable as i understand its a public facility and there were no cleaners during the night. water was not too strong.

location was good - i got drop off from the airport bus at the hotel, only a few mins walk to the main street. around a few mins walk to bus stop 9 (where a lot of tour and airport transfer pick up points). room was ok, the lamp at my room was broken so it was always dark. there was a storage locker for everyone in the room but it was a bit old and rusty and made a noise when you opening the locker. the design of the hostel was stylish. seeing a lot of reviews saying the bathroom was a public one, but actually there were around 4 private showers on each floor so you could definitely take a shower in a private one. and actually as everyone wants to take it privately, the public one is always empty. bed was ok, i was located on the upper bunk so i did not have the black curtain, did not feel as private as the lower bunk. there was restaurant at ground floor, they do breakfast starting at 7:30am. not too busy and noisy. staff was helpful. you can store luggage in here after checking out. the view was good.

Some of the beds were noisy due to all being metal, in a dormitory this can be a bit noisy at times. But even in the 42 people dormitory I found everyone was respectful and trying to minimise noise as much as possible.

Everything was on site. Breakfast was good and good value, there was also a laundry room which was really useful when all my clothes got so wet after the tours.

The floor and some bathrooms were a bit too dirty and the rooms didn't smell that good.

The viwe when you leave the hostel was amazing and really well located. I could do everything in Reykjavik by just walking. The hostel had everything I needed and more. Unfortunately it wasnt really neat and clean, but despite this, I would definetly recommend it.

Beds make a lot of noice (if you move 1 vinger the whole room knows), room is very warm, everyday in the weekend there are parties at the bar which make it really hard to sleep because you can hear the music and bass super clear in the room through the floor.

Nice hostel, good vibes. Great bar and beer. Location is pretty nice.

The kitchen lacks basic equipment. Two years ago, there was no can opener, to my shock horror, the is still not one. The kitchen is cleaned well in the morning, but due to messy clients it's a bit untidy by the evening. The toilets and showers could due with an upgrade

This was my second time in the hostel. Two years ago, I booked a Northern Lights tour. I did not get to see it but the company who the hostel booked honoured the agreement to allow to have another try for free. I still have not seen it, so will be back next year. Some of the staff were nice and helpful. A shout out to Boa, for being so. Unfortunately other members of staff need to smile a bit more and have a more cheerful attitude while on the job. The bar is a lot of fun and the location is OK. The breakfast might seem like a lot of money, but for Iceland prices I think it was good value for money. Especially if you like to eat a lot. Otherwise if you are not a big eater I would suggest a snack in the kitchen to save on money
