Very very nice guesthouse, directly located at the sea. We stayed two times there - first time in the Family room, second time in the appartement. Both were great, the rooms very clean and super equipped kitchens. Flexible arrival time (we were quite late)!

The place was huge, and we had all to ourselves. The kitchen was well-equiped, the bathrooms and the bedrooms were all clean.

Had to make our own beds with supplied linen and strip them in the morning. More like a hostel not a guesthouse. No on-site staff. People kept asking if I was staff. Weird shower arrangement. In same room as the dryer and washing machine so had to lock the whole room for privacy.

The beds in qualdruple room are bunks only, might be a better idea to fit one double and one bunk. But otherwise everything was beautiful.

Check in and check out is seamless, just find the correct doors (i was opening the wrong doors and wondering why the code wouldn't work). The rooms are spotless, kitchen well appointed and the common room is large with beautiful views over the lake.

The shower soap/shampoo dispensers were empty when we used them- not sure if this was just forgotten that day.

We stayed in around 15 accommodations on our trip around Iceland and this was the best (and definitely not the most expensive one either)! The facilities were beautiful, it was well equipped, clean and maintained, comfortable. Provided all the necessary things that a lot of other guesthouses were missing plus some extra luxuries - free to use washing machines (most places charged 3000-4500 ISK extra just to do washing!!) and a dishwasher. The view from the dining area was also lovely - looking over the water and onto the mountains.

The property was remote but very charming. The ducks and birds on the water were so relaxing to watch. It was very clean and enjoyable. A nice stop before arriving in Reykjavik.

I had read in previous reviews that we had to make our own bed. I normally would not mind that but I am NOT good at stuffing duvets. This is the only place that it was an expectation.

The accommodation was easy to find and easy to check in. We had a 3 bedroom apartment to ourselves with our own kitchen and private bathroom. Our room was spacious and the kitchen was very stocked. It had a huge refrigerator and plenty of room to cook. My favorite part of the accommodation was the view. We were right next to the water! We could not have been any closer. We would definitely stay here again.
