Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

This is a great hotel in a great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was perfect, a window which could open at slanting stand, no carpeting on the floor which I really appreciate. Plenty to chose from in the mini bar - all complimentary! Breakfast was good. All in all a pleasant stay, I will definitely chose this hotel again if I am in Milan.

The place has a cool vibe, the free minibar drinks and snacks was a great surprise, not to mention the complimentary breakfast (excellent choices) and the coffee and sweets in the afternoon. Hotel was lovely, room was clean. Complimentary mini bar in the room which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was lovely, loads of choice and staff offering coffees as soon as you sit down. Reception were really helpful with booking taxi's for us. TV remote didn't work, but they sent someone straight away and it was sorted within 2 minutes. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone.

AustraliaThe team at 21 House of Stories are nothing short of exceptional. Freja, Gabriele and the lovely Food & Beverage team went above and beyond to look after me. When I told Freja I loved the restaurant's risotto and would like to make it for my family, she arranged for the recipe to be printed (with pictures) on cardboard so I could take it home and even gave me samples of the saffron they use because it is hard to get! Such a pleasure to deal with - nothing was too much trouble. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

United KingdomWould like to see free weights in the gym and the room at times felt a little stuffy - the team informed us AC is not allowed due to an Italian law but a fan would have been appreciated in the room to circulate air.
Loved the style of the hotel, the location and more importantly the staff! Truly was a great place to spend a birthday stay. So close to the bars of Navigli and an easy walk to the centre of the city.

United KingdomIf you are travelling from Malpensa airport, I would pay for the hotel transfer. We got stuck at the airport and spent about an hour on the train. Not the hotels fault at all, but worth taking up the offer as it was good value and worth it to save the hassle of getting to hotel.
Nice room, comfortable and clean and lovely breakfast. Hotel staff were attentive, but not overbearing. It’s a great location, loads of bars restaurants near by and walking distance to Milan centre.

ItalyNot sure if it was just me but the wifi password and breakfast hours were not specified during check in. I suggest having these available somewhere in the room.
Room amenities, great location, and room aesthetic. They also let me leave my bags before my room was ready and after I checked out. Breakfast was also fantastic.
