How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Room was small, bathroom some of the shelves was broken, toilet paper holder was broken and we have stayed 3 nights our tea and coffee is never replaced it.

Television inoperative (fixed by staff). AC inoperative . Not repaired
Breakfast was good , but all was cold . Eggs, bacon , pancakes -all cold . Location very good . Staff wonderful .

Most of the time, we could not charge our phones or any of our devices from the outlets but there was nothing wrong with our chargers. The power was not working and the fuse box was making noises and electrical sparks. We told the staff and asked for help, but they said it was fine and didn’t do anything about it.
Breakfast was ok, location is great.

We were very disappointed with the situation we found ourselves in with 2 children. We were put into the “dependence” which is an apartment block down the road over a busy junction separated from the hotel. It was on the 5th floor of a very old building nothing to do with the hotel. So we didn’t use or see the hotel except to go there for breakfast each day It did say Dependance on the confirmation but this was not clear and no description of what it meant. Do not stay in the dependance.
Location very good. 3-4 mins from Spanish steps and Trevi

The ckeck in and the breakfast is at a different bulding. The bulding has a very old elevator and sometimes was not working and you have to walk to the 5th floor. (This is happening if the previous customer does not close the elevator door). You have to wait 5 minutes to have hot water.
Friendly staff and tasty breakfast. Very good location close to metro and to fontana di trevi.

We stayed on the first floor in a room which overlooks the road and it was very noisy, not soundproof at all. At times we felt like we had the windows open, and it's in front of a main road so there is a lot of traffic and you hear sirens at all times. Breakfast was okay, a variety of everything but the quality wasn't amazing. We felt like we weren't in a 4 star hotel, apart from the spa, I've been to much cheaper hotels with the same experience and quality.
The location was good, not far from the Trevi Fountain, in the center and it made it easy to move around the city. There were also nearby important bus stops. Friendly staff, ready to help you but they didn't give us any information on the city and barely on the hotel. We had to ask everything. We had 45min at the spa which was simple but really good. There is a sauna, a jacuzzi and a small pool.

It was a shame the bar in the hotel was not open, only the rooftop bar, and no food was available at the bar.
The property was an excellent location, walking distance from all the attractions.

The bed wasn’t comfortable at all and bit worn and very low it’s not a 4 start hotel to have that kind of bed .
The hotel was beautiful in the middle of the centre close by everything like shops cafes restaurants and easy to all and close by la Fontana di Trevi ,and stuff are friendly and helpful too .

From day one the air con Wasn’t working even after being informed the staff they coudnt do nothing So had to sleep in same way which was disappointing.

Pool was small for 4 people. Maximum 2 person can go in the pool, sauna and gym.
Best location. Everything is near. If you will stay here, you can go by foot everywhere.

For a Four-star hotel the facilities were a bit below my expectations
