Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceNothing.
We chose this hotel based on the good reviews found here and we are happy to say we had the same positive experience as the others. We felt really comfortable in our room and loved the somewhat old style but still fresh decoration, actually the whole hotel is charming in this way. The room was perfectly cleaned and very well insulated, two pretty hard things to find! We could also heat it to our liking and even the floor was warm, a delight for our feet. The owner was very kind and friendly, as others said before, we could feel that he really likes what he is doing and cares for us to have a nice stay. We did not have the breakfast so cannot comment on that. Location was pretty good, within ten minutes walking distance to the center. Overall we had a very nice stay in all the comfort, for this reason I give a 10 to this hotel and I would choose to stay here again if coming back to Genova. A warm thank you to the hotel staff to put such effort in making this place nice.

ItalyWe liked everything.
The room was super nice, clean, and spacious. The bathroom was massive, and they provided everything you need! Also, we requested breakfast, and it was very nice – fresh Italian products, a delightful cappuccino, eggs, and amazing juice. The main highlight of this hotel is the kindness of the owner. He was super kind, and you can tell he loves his job. We would be super happy to come back to this hotel! Thanks!

PolandIf you go to Genoa you should stay in Actor Hotel which is close to city center (Piazza de Ferrari-10 minutes by walk) and harbor and 15minutes by walk to Brigniole train station. Room and bathroom are big enough. The room was cleaned every day:) Wi-Fi is good, the owner is very nice and helpful person. You can also drink tea or coffee in bar at reception.

AustraliaNothing wrong with this hotel.i recommend.
This is a family run small hotel, rooms are older but good quality with lots of character. Large bed, and icy cold air con. Our host was extremely helpful and gracious. Husband needed a cuppa after the travels, no kettle in the room, so he went and asked, came back with a tray with everything he needed. Situated up the hill from the man on a horse statue roundabout, a easy stroll into old and new town.

IrelandI recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel in Genoa, and I can confidently say that it was a truly wonderful experience. The hotel's prime location in the heart of the city, coupled with its proximity to the train station, made it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. From the moment I stepped foot into the hotel, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and a genuine desire to make my stay as pleasant as possible. Their exceptional hospitality and attentiveness left a lasting impression on me. Whether it was offering sightseeing recommendations or helping with any requests, they were always ready to assist. The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable. The housekeeping staff did an outstanding job in maintaining a pristine environment throughout my stay. It was evident that they took great pride in their work, as every corner of the room was spotless. The comfortable beds and tasteful decor added to the overall charm of the accommodation. In addition to the fantastic location and exceptional staff, the hotel also offered a range of amenities that further enhanced my stay. The on-site restaurant served delectable dishes, allowing me to indulge in some of the finest local cuisine without having to venture far. The cozy lounge area provided a perfect spot to unwind after a long day of exploring, offering a tranquil atmosphere to relax and recharge. Overall, my experience at this hotel in Genoa was nothing short of exceptional. Its prime location, friendly staff, and immaculate rooms exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a truly memorable stay in the heart of Genoa. / переведи на английский

IrelandThe only minor issue was that the isolation of the room was only a little bit poor. We could hear the stairs and everything at the reception, but we had the room on the ground floor, I am not sure how is it in other rooms on different floors.
This hotel was an amazing choice, it was last minute because we booked the hotel 10 minutes prior to our arrival. The location was perfect, 20 minute walking distance to the city centre and 15min walk to Genoa Brignole Station. The hotel itself and the hosts were very nice to us :) Rooms and bathrooms are clean and same as the pictures. Overall, we enjoyed our trip :)

United StatesBasically, you find a home in Genoa. Fabio and Lena created such a great atmosphere for us. When we had a problem with the car, they called their friends seeking help. Fabio even walked with us to the parking spot where we left it. Do you expect it from the owner of the place you stayed. Only if he is your relative, right? The place is great. Breakfast was delicious. Amenities in perfect condition. Again, overall experience is higher than anyone could expect. Thank you!

ItalyMy 4 days of stay there felt like home. Fabio, the owner, deal with customers personally, giving a personal touch to everything. In this new age of self check in and airbnb's, People like Fabio and his hotel, makes the stays in a hotel totally worthwhile and pampered. I would any day stay at this Hotel Actor, than any international chain hotels. Also they make their own croissants for breakfast which is yummy!
