How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Elisa was amazing and so helpful With suggestions for our travel day to Cinque Terre. AC works great and was most comfortable bed during our stay in Italy.

They may want to think about including breakfast at the property but other than that, everything was great!
The property is very close to the train station and center of town which is fabulous. The host was extremely helpful and made our visit worry free and even provided a free bottle of wine! We headed up to Cinque Terre on the boat which is a nice cruise and then came back by train, again very easy and trouble free.

Light curtains, but that was easily fixed with eye mask. It rained a little but thats no fault of the great staff. Id happily stay here again.
We got there after a long days Travel, the location could not have been any better. We had a lovely view from our window, that was a bonus when waking up. The cold have done with better curtains, so bring eye mask if you're a light sleeper. Staff were super helpful.

Lights on the 2nd floor hallway did not light up thus it was difficult to see at night.

I cannot think of a single thing...
What an amazing host! What an amazing view! The room had such a lovely vibe, you could spend hours in it. However, the location is what made this place where you want to be when visiting La Spezia. Just around the corner of the city center, many (great) restaurants, the harbour and parks...

Beautiful building and tastefully decorated rooms. The beds were comfortable and bathroom modern. The location is absolutely excellent. Last but certainly not least, the hosts are wonderful. I highly recommend.

Coffee making in the room was with instant coffee or tea. While the coin operated coffee dispenser in the lobby wasn’t convenient without coins.
We were totally surprised to find this apartment on a main Central Piazza in a very large imposing renovated building with enormous doors opening on to a central courtyard - a very old building probably. It was a very convenient short downhill walk from the rail station. There is a small elevator, which was a relief for our group of three friends and baggage. The apartments are newly renovated and very clean. Our was a large room with three twin beds. Very modern, clean bathroom. The welcome from our two hosts was warm, even effusive, with offers of chocolates and drinks, quick check-in, recommendations for dinner and directions to walk to the waterfront plus an efficient tour of the amenities. the beds were basic and comfortable. We were only there for one night in transit between Cinque Terre and Venice but we had everything we need.

I would have like a small table in my room to sit by the window. I had the windows open and found out that our room had misquotes and I did get bit up a lot.
We were able to access plenty of places for breakfast. Staff was wonderful! Helpful with information. The place was cozy and comfortable!

This location is in a plaza. To get to the doors you must walk across the plaza and enter a door code on the right of the big wooden door. We drove and parking was a bit of a hassle as it was either paid street parking or paid garage parking. This is not a hotel, it’s more like a B&B or AB&B. Breakfast was a voucher to a nearby cafe, not anything on site. The toilet seat was loose and it was cumbersome to get in and out of the shower.
Extremely comfortable stay. Elisa was a sweetheart and explained how to get there with minimal issues. This location is close to the train station and made our train trip to Cinque Terre extremely easy. The room was clean and our stay was pleasant.

This was such a fabulous place to stay if you plan on visiting the Cinque Terre region. The location is perfect, a short walk from the train station or ferry to go to all 5 cities. Street parking (3 € a day) was available a 5 minute walk away and very clear directions on how to get there were given by the host. We were greeted by Simon and Eliza who gave amazing suggestions and were very helpful and available during the entirety of our stay. I highly recommend this place to stay!
