We loved our Palazzo-style rooms (yes, plural) with their high ceilings, antique furniture and amazing wooden floors. Agli Incant was a great base to explore Trieste - a big bonus was that the ferry drop off for the Defino Verde is just a few minutes' walk away!

The location of the accommodation is excellent, close to various attractions and bustling commercial areas. Staying here is like living inside a historical monument, which is a very special experience. The only minor drawback is that the soundproofing of the rooms is not ideal, but this is understandable for a rather old building.

The floor was very squeaky and the first night we arrived could barely rest due to the loud music coming from the club downstairs (open only for a few nights per week apparently). We would have appreciated if some coffee capsules or tea bags could have been provided. There is no kitchenette, so we had to bring the cups over to the bathroom sink to clean them. Not sure why, but our card could not be charged online despite funds being available and there was no possibility to pay by card. Instead, we had to withdraw and pay in cash. As this comes with a shared bathroom shower gel/shampoo was also not provided.

Very spacious room and great location - really close to all the amenities. The room is provided with a small fridge, coffee machine, kettle, and a few cups, a small TV and sofa, chairs, air dryer for towels, and hair dryer. Owner/staff was very friendly, helpful and easy to reach out.

We stayed over on a Friday night. Unfortunately there was pretty loud music coming from a bar nearby until around 4am.

The only drawback at this property happened on Friday evening when a nearby discotheque/bar kept me awake until 3am, when they stopped. Eve with earplugs the beats reverberated the walls. The other nights were lovely and quiet, so it may just be a weekend thing… I didn’t stay through to Sunday, so am not sure about Saturday night.

This place was great. A lovely, old building in the heart of Trieste. Great, great location! The room was spacious and light, the bed was comfy and warm.

Nightclub across the street which is very noisy. Shouldn’t be a problem if you stay on a weekday. We stayed on a Friday and it stopped at around 11:30am

extremely loud, not possible to sleep because of the bars and restaurants, and after during the night they collect the rubbish from the streets. it is OK for a few days but not for a longer stay

Because of the preservation the rooms don't have a bathroom (it is in the profile, so no big issue) and no air condition (but a fan). So summer nights can get quite hot inside.

Very scenic and central old appartment with huge rooms, the building is preserved because of its architecture.
