Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Amazing property, very close to Pienza. Communication with the host was good. They upgraded our room to suite on arrival which was very nice. We loved the area so much that we extended our stay by another day.

NetherlandsThis is a great location for singles and couples to relax around the property and in the neighborhood. You will have a superb feel of Tuscany with the main attractions at a couple of minutes. For cyclist loving the 'strade bianchi', this a superb base for riding several routes in the land of L'Eroica.

NetherlandsWe had an room under the roof, and while there was airco and even a fan, it just wasn't enough to cool it down even a bit. But the effort was definitely made!
Visited again, because it's a nice agriturismo, beautiful pool and view. It's so well kept! Very short drive to Pienza and San Quirico. Good mattresses, proper shower, very clean. Breakfast in summer: you fill out a small paper with you wishes, 8 for Italian, 16 for same as Italian, but with added cheese and cold cuts. We even charged the car on regular power outlet. (Bring your own cables.)

SloveniaUnfortunately, it is the breakfast dragging down the grade for the otherwise lovely accommodation. It includes basically all store-bought products (yogurt, butter, honey, muesli, brioche, bread) with average taste, which is really sad given that this is supposed to be an agriturismo. The fruit cakes that were (supposedly) homemade were dry with barely any fruit in them. The coffee was machine-made and it wasn't up to the standard we learned to expect in Italy. All in all, I would expect far better quality for the price - which by the way is 16€ per person per day for a "European" style breakfast if you don't have it included in the room rate. During our Tuscany trip we stayed in cheaper agritourisms that served breakfast with actual km 0 products, and let me tell you, you can always taste the difference. There's more than enough food, however, so it's not the quantity that is the problem, but rather the quality, and also the way it is served. You can't see the food available, but you have to select your options on a piece of paper, which is then brought to the kitchen and the staff brings you what you chose on your table. We would very much prefer a buffet type of breakfast. Given that I am not the only reviewer complaining about this and nothing has changed in the past 2 years in this regard, maybe it never will. If breakfast for you is just another meal, maybe it won't bother you, but I know I would have probably made a different booking decision based on this experience alone because I like to enjoy my breakfast to the fullest.
The location is incredible - in the middle of the rolling green hills of Val d'Orcia, with stunning views that make you think you're in the Windows XP background. It's just a short ride away from Pienza, Montepulciano, Bagno Vignoni, San Quirico d'Orcia, and other cute towns in this region. There are many good restaurants and trattorias in these towns and villages, so it's not difficult to find excellent lunch or dinner. The bed in the double room with disability access was supremely comfortable, we slept like babies the whole 3 nights. We appreciated the peace and quiet that really helped us relax. The host, Luca, and other staff were friendly and accommodating. And let's not forget about the best co-hosts: the 6 cute cats on agriturismo that love to hang outside and join you for a cuddling session (or a bite of your salami).

If you are using public transportation (which I know is rare), this farm stay is the best - it’s located in the heart of Val d’Orcia with great view, while right next to a bus stop. The host is very helpful and the breakfast is excellent. We enjoyed our stay here.
