Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

During our 2 week holiday in Toscana this was by far our favorite stay. The place is not lavish but Davide and his mother made us feel like home. They were both very welcoming, I would spend hours talking to his mother. The animals were an extra attraction for our daughter, breakfast was genuine homemade items. Location is also very close to Montepulciano. ❤️

Really enjoyed our stay! Loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere. It felt like we were part of the family. Waking up the sunrise over the tuscan countryside and the sound of the animals chatting away to each other was bliss. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting an authentic tuscan countryside experience! We used the car to go in and out of montepulciano but there were also some small restaurants within a walk of the accommodation if you don’t want to drive each time.

We visited This was the most comfortable place we stayed in Italy! The beds were cozy, room was very quiet and dark for sleeping. We slept wonderfully. We woke up to an incredible breakfast prepared by Antonia, with homemade cakes and a cheese/meat platter along with cappuccino. We loved visiting with the animals in the mornings, especially the adorable farm dog Leo. It was close to Montepulciano and we loved the proximity to explore the town. We also liked the night cap drink we had with the owner and his wife- homemade Vin Santo and cantucci were a wonderful end to our days. We would stay here over and over!

NetherlandsNothing really.
The owner is so friendly. And he is proud of his family farm. And rightfully so. They make their own wine, which was really tasteful. The breakfast has variation and is tasteful. The rainy afternoon we spent next to the fireplace and made new acquaintances. All in all it was a great stay.

United StatesA little dark in the breakfast room. The srairs up to our room were very narrow - a little challenging with heavy suitcases!
Lovely to walk around the farm and meet the various animals. Horses, geese, donkeys. A very large breakfast with home baked treats. Very gracious welcoming family. Our room at the top of the house had a small balcony with a table and chairs. We enjoyed a couple evening “picnics in the room as this place is a little remote from Montepulciano. We were given a parting gift of the farm’ s olive oil.

If you have a chance to stay at this wonderful Agriturismo then please do not miss it. The hosts were warm and welcoming. We cannot say enough - the breakfast offering a special daily morning cake, homemade jams (both made by Mama) honey made on premises along with meats, croissants, etc. BUT, the real reason to stay is the family that owns it. They are the best and the grounds are exactly what you should expect staying in Tuscany with amazing views, terra cotta planters filled to the brim with local flowers, a private tour of the grounds and livestock and, the rooms are spacious and just wonderful. In our opinion - Perfection!

If you travel with children it is perfect since they can do horse or pony riding, can play with the dog. There are also a lot of other animals, tractors etc. which your children will love!

Fantastic wee place. Staff were fabulous, especially Mumma (sorry, can't remember your name! She's doesnt speak English but we communicated well and she makes a fab breakfast and coffee!). All sorts of animals here, great grounds to wander around. Also, a close drive to town. They also make their own honey, wine & olive oil which unfortunately I didn't get to taste the wine or oil but the honey is yum! Highly recommend this place 👌
