Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandA wonderful place run by a lovely family. Hosts helpful, welcoming with delicious wine from their own vineyard, offering advice. Everything you need in the suite, great bedrooms, lounge, super equipped kitchen. When it rained and it was a bit chilly, our comfort was taken care of, the heating was on, an umbrella was waiting for us. Dogs, cats, donkeys. Location close to the main attractions of the Chianti area.

BelgiumThe views were amazing. The location felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. Sonia was really nice and we even had the chance to taste their wine. They also making their own olive oil. The house was confortable but not made to stay inside, the exteriors were much more attractive.

United KingdomThe only thing I would say is that the terrace of the apartment we stayed in was not as private as depicted online. There is a little curtain between your area and the public area for wine tasting. It didn’t bother us much though.
Such a beautiful rustic property ran by a lovely family. Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. We loved our 2 person apartment with kitchen and terrace. It was very spacious. The communal swimming pool was gorgeous surrounded by outstanding countryside views. Mya the dog was so friendly as well as Dante the cat. The location was great for visiting the Chianti region, Florence and Siena. A car is needed for this stay. The family give you a wine tasting of their home grown wine. 5 minute drive to the town with lovely restaurants and a big shop.

BelgiumWe visited beginning of April and the nights were exceptionally cold (freezing). The heating inside was off, so it was difficult to keep warm in the evening.
An amazing setting in the middle of the vinyards. Charming house in typical tuscan style, beatiful garden. Quiet valley, fabulous starry skies, nice wine. Great location to visit chianti villages, Siena, Florence... The owners (and the pets) make you feel very welcome.

Bulgaria1. Location - the Vila’s are in the middle of vineyards, the view is breathtaking. At the same time they are very close to a town - Tavernelle. Florence is just 30 minutes, San Gimignano - 40 minutes by car. 2. The Vila’s are in typical Tuscany style, with fully equipped kitchen, very clean and comfortable. 3. Dogs are welcome, the owners have very nice dog Maya. 4. Last but not least, the owners Sonia and Franco are so hospitable and so caring. We had a small issue that we worried about and they did everything to solve it quickly, so we could enjoy our stay in Tuscany.

The best agriturismo to know Tuscany and enjoy a few days of peace and quiet. Sonia is a sweetheart, she is always smiling and helpful, and so his family. They offered us a tasting of their wines, explaining their way of life and helping us to make our vacations perfect. We went with a baby less than a year old, and they give us a crib, the location is perfect for exploring Tuscany and the swimming pool is magnificent. In short, a unique and charming experience. Thank you so much for everything. We promise to come back!

PolandA great place to rest. You can feel the spirit of Tuscany here. There is everything you need in the apartment. It is decorated in a Tuscan style, simple and tasteful. The neighborhood is beautiful. The owners were very friendly. Sonia is always smiling and helpful. Local wine and olive oil can be bought on site. There is of course a swimming pool too. If you come with children, you will surely like the calm dog of the owners and the cats. You can also admire donkeys, rabbits, chickens, as is usually the case in such agritourism. I recommend this place to every lover of quiet holidays from the hustle and bustle. It is located in the countryside, but close to everything, the nearest town with shops, restaurants, post office and other services is only 10 minutes by car (note the end of the road is gravel). Florence city center is only a 40-minute drive away. The location is great as a base for exploring Tuscany.

FranceI did not like the small insects although very natural due to where we stayed - agritourismo:) If you are not a fan of small insects worth to consider- not a big problem though.
The property is in an excellent place - center of the Tuscany- with a small village like 3kms max, you can find easily what you are looking for- ie breakfast, market shopping at and restaurants- easy access to many of the villages around. The family hosting the property are great people, ready to help and very kind. They made our family holiday a great one. You wake up to a marvellous view everyday towards a valley with fresh air.

BelgiumThe lowest appartment has rising soil moisture with severe mold growth in walls, making the lowest sleeping room unhealthy to stay in and the whole appartment smelly. Ventilation cannot solve the issue and gives mosquitos free play.
