Beautiful family run agroturismo hotel on an organic farm surrounded by lemon trees with Etna in the background. Great location, easy to get to Noto, Syracuse and beach. Staff went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful.

Our bathroom needed more towel holders and the bedroom had nowhere to hand wet clothes

The property was beautiful and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and they all spoke excellent English. The food served is all organic and made from the crops grown on their farm and it was all delicious!

We felt our room was over priced. The shower water was uncontrollable and spread everywhere and the bath was far too big and unusable. I wouldn’t have wasted all the water it needed to fill it.

Breakfast was delicious as was the excellent evening tapas. Friendly and welcoming staff. Relaxing and laid back with very high standards.

There was nothing that we didn’t like. However, we would recommend more bathroom hooks or a towel rail and a long mirror in the bedroom.

Chiara, Lorenzo and their staff were very friendly and efficient. A special mention for Nadia the chef whose breakfast feast was fantastic. We have never tasted orange juice or granita as good as that made from lthe oranges from their own orchard. We thoroughly enjoyed our tapas supper which was incredibly tasty and the organic wine. It was a bonus not having to dine out in the evening. The bedding is top quality and we appreciated the very comfortable pillows - not often found when staying away. The grounds and pool are lovely and if we come to Siracusa again we would definitely stay at La Casa di Mela again.

There is not much to see in Cassibile, we used the hotel as a base to visit other cities like Noto, Siracusa, Marzamemi. The hotel staff gave us helpful suggestions about which beaches and cities to visit.

The hotel staff was super helpful and kind, the space itself is new and beautifully decorated, breakfast was delicious and contained products grown locally on the property. Highly recommended!

Awesome place. The pool is super cool, shared places are cool with lots of beautiful details, rooms are good. You’re literally living in the middle of lemon and orange trees farm. Breakfast is amazing and it’s made of local products. The staff is also super nice and welcoming. Definitely worth living there for several days.

Wi-Fi could have been better, as it didn't reach our room.

We loved our stay at Casa di Melo. The grounds are beautiful and the converted farmhouse has a true Sicilian feel. It is slightly off the beaten track, so is perfect for people who want to explore the cities of Avola or Siracusa but equally enjoy peace & quiet. Our room was separate from the main building and was above expectations, very well kept and clean. Breakfast was a buffet that came in two options: salt or sweet, and was served to us due to COVID. However, this was absolutely fine and the man we had to serve the food was super friendly. To make this stay enjoyable, tho, I would recommend a rental car. There are so many beaches and the Cavagrande del Cassibile to visit, but due to lack of local public transport, this will be tricky without a car.

....restored, equipped and decorated with love, it is an oasis of peace, comfort and relaxation that exceeded our expectations! Everyone tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible - be it to use the swimming pool in the late evening after our arrival, to offer us a small lunch, to suggest and book the restaurant for dinner, take the time for a chat and tell us the history of the place... - it's these little touches that make the difference. The 3 domestic dogs move around freely and are a nice addition for people who love animals. The choice at breakfast may not be excessive, but is freshly prepared, homemade and of high quality products.

I recommend this place 100%. The property is super nice and the staff incredibly friendly and willing to help you with everything you may need. The breakfast is also very good and if you choose to have dîner there they serve you local dishes right from the garden.

The rooms are not as good as they seem on Booking. The interior feels a bit old and the beds are not so comfortable. There is always loud music in the garden which is quite annoying. You are not allowed to drink a bottle of water that you brought from outside in any place except your room, which is weird since you spend a lot of time in the garden and gets really thirsty. The food in the restaurant is all vegetarian but lacks protein (it’s just vegetables and carbs).

The staff was really nice and helpful, and the breakfast was good.
