Everything was absolutly great! I would appreciate some more vegetables and for example oat flakes for breakfast, but my husband wouln't change anything.

Beautiful surroundings, nice and helpful people. They provided us with useful info regarding various sightseeings and places to eat out. Excellent breakfast with various kinds of their cheese and salumi, homemade cakes, tasteful coffee.. Thank you!

Our host, Giuliano, was delightful! He recommended local wineries and activities, was accomodating for every request, served a fantastic breakfast and made our dinner reservations each night. The property itself was beautiful and located in the middle of golden, rolling hills. We couldn't have been happier!

Spacious apartment on the agriturismo, privacy and great view of surrounding Tuscan hills from the bedroom - the welcome aperitif with biscotti was a wonderful touch. Generous serves of breakfast every morning with home made sweets. Watching the sunset by the pool.

The only small criticism I have is that the walls in the newer building seem to be quite thin and I could hear everything from the neighbouring rooms.

I spent a very quite and relaxing holiday here. The rooms were very nice, well equipped and super clean. The breakfast was great. The staff was lovely and extremely dog friendly. And the pool was amazing. Also, all other guests I met were extremely nice. I can’t wait to come back!

We managed to arrive by bus, but due to checking-out on a Sunday, there were no buses running, and we struggled to find a taxi (Giuliano came to our rescue in the end!) We were able to explore using e-bikes but, if we were to return, I would probably consider hiring a car due to the lack of other transport options!

Gorgeous farmhouse in perfect location, with beautiful surroundings, friendly staff, lovely clean rooms, great pool, amazing views, and delicious breakfasts! Agatha the cook made the most amazing breakfasts for us every morning and was so friendly and kind! We also rented e-bikes to explore the Val D'Orcia, including Pienza, Bagno Vignoni and San Quirico. We loved our room - had a really comfy bed and lovely features including complimentary cantuccini and dessert wine! Giuliano was really helpful in giving us tips on where to go and also helped us arrange a taxi on check-out. We would return again for sure!

San Marcella agriturismo was a great location to base our tour of Tuscany. It is close to many hill towns, Brunello vineyards and the farm itself has exceptional views of the beautiful Val d’orcia. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. They provide a list of their favourite nearby restaurants and activities and went so far as to make our reservations for us. The breakfast was plentiful, providing both sweet and salty plates. Agatha (apologies if I spelled her name incorrectly) was so helpful, friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Fantastic place and location!! I was to late for check-in, almost 11:00 PM, due to flight delay, but Giuliano took care of me, until i arrived there. Fresh breakfast the next day, short distance from city, calm and relaxed. 100 point out of 100!!!

I cannot recommend enough a stay at the Agriturismo San Marcello. This agriturismo is located in heart of the Val d'Orcia which is the most peaceful, beautiful place we have been - endless sweet valleys, traditional villages to discover, walk & bike roads.. incredibly charming and surprisingly less crowded than some other places in Tuscany. The room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated (traditional style), with a view on a quiet yard and garden (some rooms have also amazing views on the fields around). The breakfast was absolutely amazing and mostly home made, served with the view on the gorgeous landscapes around. There is a pool for the guest as well. Besides the countryside relaxing vibe, what we enjoyed the most was the welcoming atmosphere. Giuliano did absolutely every thing to make our stay the best and honestly the whole experience was amazing. We will definitely stay there again !

we booked apartments largely basing on the pictures on booking.com, but the available apartments offered for us looked different when we arrived. We desperately wanted to have a doors to the terrace out of the bedroom, but there was no such thing. such kind of apartments were occupied. but the manager figured out how to solve the problem, for which many thanks to him!

Beautiful places. nature. free coffee from a good coffee machine at reception. Breakfast is probably good too, we didn't try it, we cooked it ourselves. the manager quickly found a way to resolve the issue.

Amazing location with a beautiful view of Castiglione D'Orcia and the hills. Proximity to exploring Montalcino and Montepulciano was awesome. Very close thermal baths and the spa. Endless number of things to do and explore. Giuliano was a great host, quick to respond to whatever we needed and learning our breakfast preferences!

Everything about our stay was lovely! Warm and cozy accommodations, delicious breakfast (including a homemade gluten free cake just for us), and outstanding views of the Tuscan countryside all provided by a kind and generous owner who gave us a tour of the property and additional recommendations for our (too brief) visit it to Val d'Orcia. We would happily book another stay at Giuliano's excellent agriturismo on our next visit to the area.

Nothing we didn’t enjoy!

If a quiet, restful experience in the Tuscan countryside is what you’re looking for, then San Marcello is the place to go to. Giuliano greeted us very warmly and kindly organised a bottle of wine, cheese and jam for us on the evening of our arrival as we were too tired to step out for dinner. He has a list of lovely recommendations of walks/hikes, towns to visit and restaurants in the Val d’Orchia region and made some reservations for us as well. Breakfast was also excellent and hearty. We hope we can go back again someday and enjoy the hospitality!

I don't have any complaints. The accommodations were authentic and clean. It had a very Tuscan charm and we loved it.

Breakfast was outstanding - HUGE. Arrive hungry. Our host was SO gracious and accommodating. He even brought us some fresh tomatos and salami to enjoy with our wine (on our patio) the night before.
