10/10 stay! Carlotta is the best host I've ever had - she was so helpful in giving me recommendations for beaches, restaurants and hidden gems. I was so sad to leave this agriturismo. It is in the perfect location just outside of Portofino - a very quick walk into town (15-20mins) with amazing views along the way so it doesn't feel like a long walk at all. Carlotta was so quick in responding to my messages when I was ready to be picked up from town and I was very grateful for the lift. The views on the property listing do not do the actual view justice. The view is insane - it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. In my opinion, it is much better staying at a property with elevation looking over Portofino than to stay in town because the views are so much better. Carlotta put together a delicious and big breakfast every morning, taking into consideration my food preferences. The bedroom was perfect - it's like a self-contained apartment so it felt very private. Everything was clean and well-kept. Yuri, the family dog, is so cute and well-behaved. I am counting down the days until I can return to Portofino and Agriturismo Terre Rosse - I have recommended it to my friends and family, and I cannot think of a better place to stay. Everything about the stay was perfect. The room was clean and had the most amazing view. The breakfast was delicious with many different options. There was also a pantry with items for purchase that you could snack on or cook in the kitchen for other meals. The property was filled with good energy, beautiful produce, and lots of places to lounge and enjoy the beautiful view. The access to trails was perfect for the avid hiker. Most importantly, the hosts are just the most amazing, friendly, and interesting people. It’s safe to say that this is my favorite place that I’ve ever been, and I’m already looking forward to going back.

They say Portofino is a pearl, well this place was a pearl in a pearl! Carlotta made us feel like family, so warm and welcoming, she is a gem! And little Yuri was the best doggie mascot ever, loved to say hello and keep you company. The property was beyond beautiful, so peaceful, the best views and adjacent to multiple trails of Parco di Portofino. We did a day hike trip to San Fruttuoso at the recommendation of Carlotta and it was the highlight of our trip - phenomenal views and great food. The breakfast provided was delicious everyday and we were able to cook in the cute kitchen whenever we felt like staying in. Bringing good quality shoes, like hiking shoes or sturdy sneakers, is a must for this area, there are rocky areas and a lot of up and down hills so walking around is not for the faint of heart. Good news though, Carlotta provides transportation whenever needed into and out of the city so you don't have to trek up the mountain if you don't want to. I have already recommended this location to several people and it hasn't even been a week since we left - you will not be disappointed in choosing Terre Rosse for your accommodations in Portofino.

There was nothing we disliked; the property suited us very well. However, it may not suit everyone. To reach the town is a steep 20-minute walk down through the olive groves (which we greatly enjoyed). You cannot drive to the property as it is effectively on a private road - and you probably wouldn’t want to. The road is steep and narrow and only one vehicle wide. Carlotta will drive you and your luggage up, and will pick you up in the evening after your dinner. So, this is not by any means a standard type of accommodation on the edge of a resort; in fact, we have never been in anything quite like it. But it is by far the most interesting place we have ever stayed using booking.com. It is also not cheap; we stayed in a hotel above nearby Rapallo for half the price. However, I strongly suspect that it is good value for money in Portofino, which is very expensive. With these reservations, we would strongly recommend it.

We liked the Agriturismo for the quiet country surroundings with wonderful views over the Ligurian coast - and yet relative proximity to the town of Portofino. It was a great help to have our host Carlotta’s advice on places to eat in Portofino and places to see.

Little bit of a walk into town but at least it is downhill. Recommend the 20min walk to avoid the steps on the shortcut. Just ask Carlotta. Panda ride uphill is fantastic.

Our stay at the Agriturismo Terre Rosse was the highlight of our vacation. The room was extremely clean and the view at breakfast was wonderful. There was a varied and lovingly prepared breakfast every morning, where even individual wishes were catered for. We could even try fresh chicken eggs and fresh honey from the farm. The location of the Agriturismo is super to explore Portofino and the beautiful surroundings, since there is always an uphill shuttle service provided by the hosts. Carlotta is very caring and gives good tips to offer her guests the best stay possible. We would not hesitate for a second to come back!

It would have been nice to be able to park our car at the house, but Charlotta made it very easy by picking us up in the town. Somehow we missed the instructions not to drive up the hill and made the mistake of driving up the hill. Not a good idea at all - the road is very small and there truly is no space for cars. This ends up being nice because no traffic = no noise!

Really wonderful little guest house up the hill from Portofino with views forever. A very lovely place to stay if you want to get away from the town and relax. This is the perfect place from which to explore the other towns by foot if you like to hike - next time we will come prepared to do that!
