Perfect location, super friendly hosts, room was a good size and very clean. Breakfast was fantastic with home cooked cake. Great advice for where to go and eat in Trieste too. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Trieste!

The B&B is in the heart of the city in the beautiful Piazza. The view from the room makes you feel like a part of the city, we enjoyed being there even on a rainy day :) You can see the lively restaurants, piazza, canal and then hills in far back. All the main attractions are reachable by foot and sea is right across. The room was more beautiful than the pictures and beat our expectations. It was immaculately clean, well organised. We had more than we needed of everything. The hosts are a very friendly, kind and attentive couple who ensure we had a very good stay. They provided us with all the information for exploring the city. We felt warmly welcomed in Trieste because of them :) The hosts were also very accomodative with the check-in and check out. They have a really big heart and truly enjoy hosting people! On our last day, we enjoyed a brilliant breakfast in the room and truly enjoyed a typical italian Breakfast with nice eggs, olive bread, sweet breads and coffee. A perfect romantic breakfast with a view. If you want to experience Trieste staying with the locals in the heart of the city - this is simply the perfect choice! Very good public transport connectivity overall. We would rate Al Ponterosso a 15 out of 10 :)

The proprietors were terrific communicators and generous hosts, leaving fresh fruit, cookies and even a bottle of Prosecco for us. The location of Al Ponterosso could not have been better for touring the old part of Trieste. And the views of the Piazza out the rooms window were perfect for people watching. We highly recommend this lovely accomodation.

The host was kind and very accomodating. She lets you feel like you are home and staying with a relative. We checked in late because of the train schedule and have not yet eaten lunch and she offered to cook pasta for us. Isnt that great?

Excellent location, outstanding breakfast (really worth the additional fee). Andrea and his wife were amazingly kind, hospitable, and accommodating, exactly what you want in hosts. It was clear they both enjoy being having guests and introducing them to Trieste. We will definitely stay there again.

Nothing really. There was truly nothing that detracted from the pleasure of our stay in Trieste. During our first two days there was even a fish festival on the square and we ate lovely fish caught locally and cooked before our eyes. Trieste was at her glimmering best. It was great.

We stayed at Al Ponterosso for 6 days. We already knew that the location was great, since we know Trieste well and we were hoping for and expecting the comfortable room and facilities that we experienced. However what we could not have expected was the kindness and thoughtfulness of our hosts, the flowers, the treats and the little extras every day that come from the heart. The hosts are truly lovely people. We visit Trieste regularly and we will definitely return to Al Ponterosso and we have already recommended Al Ponterosso to friends and to family members.

Staying in Al Ponterosso was the perfect choice in Triest. The hosts were super friendly, helpful and kind. Everything was clean and stylish. Princy and his husband made a lot of efforts to make our stay and breakfasts unmemorable. The communication was easy and fun. We stayed for a week and come back anytime, highly recommended B&B in the heart of the city.

Perfect two night stay in Trieste! The hosts are a lovely couple just down the hall from the apt and provided for everything, including a delicious breakfast the morning I checked out. Also made a cute furry friend during my stay (see pics).

Best possible location to visit Trieste - even with the car (public parking, 15 € / day is 10 minutes walk - with luggage :-)). Fantastic host, quiet and comfy room. Fully recomended.

Location is just perfect, as well as the apartment! We had clean towels and bathrobe, shower and hair gels, glasses, tea and even fresh grapes! Our hosts were so kind and lovely. They gifted to us an amazing breakfast, just like you get in the best rated hotels, but now you get an extra sweet home feeling that is free and priceless at the same time :) They certainly made our stay in Trieste more beautiful. Thanks and we will come back :)

There is nothing i did not like, everything was great

The host was very friendly, it felt like home. Location was great, directly at grand canale. Room was comfortable and big enough. Also, it was pet friendly and we could stay with our dog.

Everything was great. Great location, just a few minutes away from the port, the Plaza... Great staff, especially kind and welcoming. The breakfast was more than we could have asked for, do not hesitate to take it. (Yogurt, juice, pastries, cereals, bread and jam, eggs...) I definitely recommend this B&B.
