Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandThe WiFi didn't work. The TV barely worked too. The bathroom was not overly clean, but acceptable. The check-in is a bit confusing, as there is an arrow next to the hostel which directs you to the restaurant (where the check-in procedure takes place) and on the restaurant's door there is an arrow that leads you the other way.
First of all I must say that we were greatly surprised (in a positive manner, of course) that while checking in, you are served a glass of champagne. The room itself is good, there is a TV and generally anything you need if you are staying for one night. The breakfast was outstanding and the service was really helpful too. It's located closeby a supermarket (Lidl - around 10 mins walk).

Czech RepublicVery basic breakfast. We would be happier for prompt waiters to get us our coffee, had to ask twice, home made bread was delicious though, toast bread, ham and cheese. Juice and just one kind of fruit, no vegetables. Harder to get in after operating hours. We have got the instructions which were clear but when getting into door we bumped into some worker in the building who told us that this was not the entrance and therefore we spent another 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get into our room only to end up at the very same entrance and got in the building. :-) All that in 1 AM :-)
Great location to get by foot to Citta Alta. View from window very nice. Comfortable bed.

GermanyUnfortunately, the WiFi didn't work and the restaurant was a bit loud into the evening (not entirely unexpected). They were also unable to print our boarding passes. When we checked in, there was only one guy working at the bar, so he seemed a bit overworked (he was very welcoming though).
The room was comfortable and a good size. The bathroom was functional and the shower had acceptable water pressure. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and the check in area in the bar was nicely decorated. The location is reachable by bus or foot, and there are great food options nearby, of course including the attached restaurant. A great gelateria is only 3 minutes walk away.

LithuaniaParking was challenging as all the public paid parking spaces were occupied, there is a big parking nearby that does not allow to park overnight, had to drive in circles until someone else left.
Convenient location, close to cita alta, not too far from the downtown, too. Quiet area, clean room.

Czech RepublicThe walls are really thin so don't forget your earplugs if you are not willing to listen to the neighbour's snoring symphony :) Breakfast is basic, one day milk was missing for the cereal, another one no fruit was available. Bread and cheese were good though!
The hotel is located in a nice neighbourhood, with good gelatería close and a hotel bar is also available. La Città alta is at walking distance. Nice staff, and welcome drink (Prosecco).

Czech RepublicBecause the restaurant is open until midnight, it can be quite noisy. You'll have to close the windows. You can also hear everything that happens in the corridors. Therefore, if your neighbors are a noisy company, you will not be lucky. Unfortunately, it was not indicated on the booking that an additional city tax may be charged. Our room cost 72, 90 euro (twice the same price). But for some reason we paid a different city tax. The first night was 3.98 euros for two and 5.98 euros for the second night for two. It's weird, isn't it? Also, one person checks people into the hotel and serves people at the bar. Therefore, if you arrive in the evening and there will be a lot of people in the bar, you may have to wait for check-in for some time.
A nice place close to the old town, a pleasant and quiet location. The train station is about 2 km away. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. Breakfast is nothing special, mostly flour products. We stayed in on April 29 and May 1 (2 nights in total). The rooms were very clean. There were toiletries, but the second time they forgot to put a shower gel. There is also a restaurant and a bar in the hotel itself, the pizza is very tasty.

SerbiaThe breakfast could have been more varied. It was the same every day. I suppose it's great for those staying only one night here, but for those staying longer, it's not the best.
We spent 4 nights in this accommodation which turned out to be a great starting point for many nearby locations in Bergamo (Lake Como, Milan, Città Alta...). It was clean, we got fresh towels every day, and it was comfortable. For those who enjoy walking, this is a great location to take a shortcut to the upper town, and it's just over a kilometer to the center of the new part of Bergamo. There are supermarkets, bike paths, and local cafes nearby.

Close to the city center, 15-20 min walk, close to the old city, 10 min to the funicular tram. Free parking on a near street, 3 min walking. Breakfast OK, not many options, but good. For the paid price is worth.

SerbiaWifi could be better.
The hotel is a little bit far away from the city center and central train-bus station, about 2 km, close to the old town (citta alta). From the aeroport you can use bus 1aeroport (ticket 3e/per person). Our flight was early in the morning so we missed the breakfast 😩. The staff was very kind. Good value.
