How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location is OK , not too far from station and the lake. However the road is very busy .

The parking places are a bit too small for longer cars.
The host and personal were very friendly. The breakfast was very rich, everything you can imagine with no limits. I liked the fact that there was a swimming pool with yakusi. Cleanliness everywhere

Everything was just perfect, friendly staff, very clean room with balcony, great location, 10-15 minutes walk to the lake where all the restaurants and shops are, 3 minutes walk to the supermarket, a nice bar and some good restaurants. Perfect place, I really enjoyed the stay and the good area the hotel is located at. I highly recommend it.

A bit far from the center and lake shore, but easily walkable if walking is not an issue for you.
Swimming pools both in the garden and a small one at the roof top. Very friendly staff. Cleaning and spacious room (we got the three bed room although we were only two).

Water of the pool was cold.

The owners of the hotel very nice and helpful, the rooms standard, the bathroom is not the largest, but everything is perfectly clean and comfortable. Despite the arrangements for covid, a great breakfast. Good position for trips around Lake Garda, parking without problems. Some people complain about the noisy environment, but due to the location of the hotel you can not expect a romantic quiet place :-) (and it is advisable to look at the map when ordering accommodation...), in addition, the rooms facing the street are noisier, but those towards the pool, garden, are okay.

Great staff, quite good breakfast, the position - good, if you are willing to walk a bit to the center. For me this was fine. The hotel let's you borrow their bikes (free of charge), and this was also a great opportunity. The bike was a good bike, and I traveled around the lake a little bit (which I recommend to do). I also used the pool. It was not crowded, so it was nice to be able to use it. It is sightly small - if you are into swimming for a bit of a workout, but still it worked for me quite well. The bed was comfortable, and the room was very clean; the room also has a balcony, which is also a plus! All in all, it was a nice stay, and I recommend it!

Very friendly staff and we felt very welcome. The pool is clean and quiet with comfortable beds. Good and tasty breakfast with a lot of choice! Close to the center (walking distance) of Desenzano. We really enjoyed our stay here!

A little but far from the lake front but fine if you enjoy a stroll.

Just a bit far away from the city center, I think it was about 15 min walk.
The hotel is very clean and well maintained The staff is great, very nice and helpful.Simona at the reception is just adorable.The breakfast is really good, one day I didn't even take lunch.For short stay it's a perfect choice'

For someone traveling by train, the location is perfect, midway between the station and the lake. Welcoming and helpful staff, breakfast with everything you could require, and two pools. No issues with street noise. Air-conditioned room.

One of the days at around 7.15pm the man working in the hotel started mowing the lawn loudly around the pool. As the pool is open until 8pm, we thought it was quite poor to do that in front of the guests who are still using the pool.
Great pool, nice staff, good air con in the rooms, comfy beds, really good continental breakfast, it’s a good bit away from the strip but in a really lovely and safe residential area. You can escape the busyness of the lake.
