Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomYou could a bit of noise from the corridor and from other rooms, and the shower head wouldn’t stay upright but sure that’s an easy fix and we didn’t complain about it at the time as it wasn’t that big a deal for us over a few days.
Great location - a few minutes walk from the centre of town but that meant it was nice and quiet. Friendly staff who provided a lovely breakfast on the terrace each morning with a good selection of food to choose from. Parking was no problem within the hotel car park.

It was a lovely stay! Staff was very friendly, the room was nice and what we needed, breakfast was lovely and the location ideal! Walking distance to all restaurants and bars yet set in a quiet location! Would definitely come back. Thank you!

SwitzerlandReally nice location and building with a charming and tasteful front patio. Building and rooms are well-kept and spotlessly clean. Good breakfast which can be eaten on the verandah overlooking the sea. Accomodated my requirement for gluten-free food. Very helpful and friendly staff with excellent communication provided prior and during our stay. Practical to be able to book a spot at the hotel’s private area on the beach. View from the sea view rooms with balcony is wonderful Good and reliable wi-fi connection

SwedenNot related to Auralba and probably not negative for everyone; the beach and town are very crowded and fully centred around tourists.
We had a room with a large terrace and lovely view. Nice breakfast with homemade pastries. The location was perfect, a bit off the crowds, but still close to everything. We got a parking lot on site.

FranceWe found the bed too hard but then we prefer soft beds.
The proximity to the beach and town centre was great and we enjoyed using the hotel's Beach Service which needs to be booked in advance and provides you with 2 sunbeds and a parasol for only 15 euros for the day. Breakfast was really lovely with freshly made cakes and Italian specialities with the option of eating on the terrace. Rocco, the owner/hotel manager was excellent and very helpful. When we asked about horse riding, he found a local stables and arranged it all for us. Our room was spacious with a balcony terrace with sea view. The hotel is very attractive and has a large sun terrace as well. Free bikes if required and plenty of on site parking. Wifi good. Friendly staff.

United KingdomThere was nothing to dislike and could have been better!
As a group travel leader I have traveled many countries throughout the world. The room with its spectacular panorama view with balcony was way better than we could have anticipated. It offers two large roof terraces equipped with lounge chairs and umbrellas. The manager, Rocco, the baker, Arianna and the night shift receptionist, Barnaba were each very welcoming, professional, helpful and efficient. The standard of freshly baked foods offered for breakfast were diverse and all of excellent quality and delicious. In fact these were better than any other meals we experienced outside of the hotel. The hotel provides free very useful, bicycles and beach umbrellas. The location, while offering complete privacy in its peacefully quiet hillside surroundings, is just two minutes walk to the beautiful beach, its warm sea waters and seven minutes walk into the town. The location excellent.

BrazilBreakfast could have some traditional pasticerries from Sicily. We were expecting to find products out of the standard options, since this is also was se saw from the pictures. Also, we booked this hotel because of the lighting in the rooms and the modern spacious pictures, but in reality they gave us a room with window to the back of the house. Not luminous or modern as they show in their booking pictures.
Great location. Really close to the centre of the villa. Close to restaurants and the beach. Also the hotel provides bikes to explore around. We decide to do everything by walking.

SwitzerlandMy single room had too little natural light for my liking, but it was definitely not hot. Hotel is a little noisy at the night when guests are coming back from town. Make sure you use the voucher for welcoming drink which is provided.
The hotel is situated in a quiet part, 5 Min walking to the main busy city street, which I liked a lot. The beach is also 5 min walking. Ilthe location is perfect as you can reach everything quickly but it's quiet. I like the bike rental. Please note that the hotel has umbrellas for the beach which were very useful as the sun is brutal. Go and visit with the bik Blue Marino beach, absolutely stunning and worth spending a day. There is a good truck coming around 1pm and do rent a bed and umbrella, it's totally wort it. It is a snorkeling paradise. 30 mincycling away. The receptionist was really helpful, they helped me organize transport to the airport.

United StatesGreat small hotel with fantastic terrace view. Breakfast was first rate, with dining on the ocean view terrace. We enjoyed the complimentary bikes. Room was quiet and very comfortable. Owner/Host was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants. Great base to walk into town and close to Zingaro, a beautiful nature preserve, with swimming and hiking. We were there during the Cous Cous festival, and were able to try some outstanding dishes. On site parking was an added bonus. They also have a bar and serve drinks and snacks in the afternoon (for a fee), which we were happy to pay.

MoldovaThe main disapointment was that in order to stay in the reserved area on the beach (with umbrellas and sunbeds) you have to book a sunbed in advance and this wasn't mentioned anywhere when I booked my room and it can be that all the sunbeds are booked for a few days ahead when you arrive. I'd add this info to the booking so that people could make sure in advance that they have a place to stay.
All in all, it was a pleasant stay in Auralba. The location is very nice, it's only a few minutes away from the beach and you can reach the restaurants and shops in no time. Stuff of the hotel is very nice and friendly, so if you're looking to stay close to the beach area it's a nice choice.

SwedenThe room was a bit outdated. We were surprised to be charged 3 Euro for a beach towel despite being the hotel guest and using the hotel beach service. I have visited +30 countries and cannot remember being charged for a beach towel in a hotel located at the beach!
Good location-5 min walking distance to the beach, possibly to rent an umbrella in a space reserved for the hotel guests. In general good price/quality ratio for San Vito Lo Capo.
