The location was superb with amazing views. The standard throughout the 2 bedroom suite we had was exceptional. The beds were so comfy. The owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was such a lovely treat having our breakfast delivered to us each morning.

Exceptional stay at the Albergo Diffuso Sotto Le Stelle held by Cesidio who was truly fantastic with us. Picinisco is a tremendous and lovely village with an unforgettable view on the valley, and an incredible atmosphere.

There is nothing that we didn't like - as we said an idyllic setting

This is an idyllic location in a mountain village overlooking the Comino valley with panoramic views of valleys and mountains. The accommodation over 2 floors is exceptional with matching facilities. A wonderful base to explore the national park. It was lovely to be welcomed and greeted so warmly - Thank you for such a comfortable stay.

Excellent host, Cesidio, and so very helpful and informative of his village and local area. Visited his Winery, too; sampled the Maturano Grape, a unique grape to boot and managed to purchase and transfer some of it home. Bedroom absolutely charming, as was showering facilities. Facilities in room for some catering and fresh fruit provided on arrival, along with wine to purchase... Overall, absolutely delighted with my three night-stay. The village is about a twenty minute drive from Monte Cassino...

Absolutely nothing...it rained briefly one day, but the rain was needed due to the recent droughts.

Albergo Diffuso Sotto Le Stelle Picinisco exceeded my expectations. My family are from Picinisco and I had not been there since I was a child. I was absolutely blown away by the Village and that's mainly down to one man Cesidio di Ciacca and his family. They have re-vitalised their historical village and turned it into a welcoming, peaceful retreat, surrounded by beauty, elegance and literally, a "home from home". It's USP is the community feel, you must integrate with your surroundings, with stunning panoramic views, vast vineyards, local produce, friendly local people, who speak 'your' language. Sheer elegance and sophistication. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 5*

Sotto is an amazing oasis. Such a calm, peaceful and tasteful place to relax. If you're in the area and in need of a place to stay, look no further. But please don't tell everyone.

A beautiful town, with a beautiful room - hotel staff and owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They arranged a restaurant for us, and gave us complimentary wine and chocolates. The room is one of many isolated apartments within a larger complex, it felt very private and special. Picinisco (and Lazio/Molise in general) are well worth a visit.

The owner of the hotel was amazing. He helped us get situated in our rooms and locate good restaurant. He even knew the history of the town and region. He was great! Finally, my child left a stuff animal there and he called to let me know!

I could not find fault with anything at the property.

The breakfast was supplied by a local inn, which a 5 minute walk away, upon arriving at the property, we where offered a upgrade to a better room in the main part of the apartment block which had wi-fi, but as there were two bedrooms and for personnel reasons three bedrooms were required, so the kind offer was declined.As this was a family hotel, the family were extremely friendly and the staff likewise, i would recommend this hotel.

Not a thing! It was great!!!

After spending six days exploring the Amalfi coast, we ended up in Salerno with two days left before our flight back to the US out of Rome. we had planned to go to Rome, but be realized the G20 summit was there (end of Oct. 2021) and were worried that we would have issues with traffic, closings, protests, etc. We found a hike that looked interesting in the Abruzzo national park so we decided to drive that way on a whim. So very glad we did! The trees were at peak color and the drive to Pescasseroli was gorgeous. After having lunch there, we decided to get a hotel room. Nope...too late! Nothing was available. After spending an hour or more trying to find a place to stay on a number of sites, we found one available room at Sotto Le Stelle in Pisinisco (not to far as the crow flies, but an hour's drive down the mountain). We got there just after a beautiful sunset. Cesidio met us in the piazza and directed us to our room...okay, not really a room, but an entire suite! The place was huge! There was a lovely large bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed, a sitting area, a kitchenette and and well-appointed beautiful bathroom with a huge shower! The large balcony overlooked the entire valley. It was perfect! As there are only three restaurants in town, Cesidio made sure we had reservations so we wouldn't miss a meal. The next day, he helped us plan a hike nearby and even went with us to the local grocery to get a picnic lunch. Unfortunately, we had to be back in Rome that night for an early morning flight, so we couldn't stay longer! Amazing!
