Location was fantastic. So close to the boats for trips on the lake. Accommodation was lovely with beautiful views out over Lake Maggiorie. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean.

The property was in an excellent location. The ferry terminal was across the road. The view was spectacular and the breakfast was excellent. Parking is close by and free. The hotel was very reasonable priced.

WiFi was unstable. Most things were clean but anything above head-height had not been cleaned.

Location on Laggo Maggiore is wonderful. They have a nice breakfast and the restaurant onsite is open lunch and dinner. The staff were very accommodating.

Location was great (just across from the waterfront in town), breakfast was fresh and good choices with the option of eating on the waterfront. Rooms were spacious and staff were friendly and helpful. Terrace with break grass was very nice and relaxing.

The entire hotel could technically use a make over, while the charm of the 70s is lingering and actually very attractive, time is catching up.

The door between the kids' room and ours didn't really shut properly. The shower room was a bit small - no bath so probably not for very young children. The whole family room arrangement, under the roof, felt a bit poky, but then I guess we paid a bit less to have this arrangement rather than two separate larger rooms on the floor below. It would be great for younger kids to be this close to mum and dad. The restaurant was trying a bit too hard to be interesting e.g. battered lake fish with strawberry mayonnaise and chips was a little strange - the place next door which just did standard Italian fare seemed a bit more cheap and cheerful (although the service was less good) and we migrated there for the second night. The public beach at Baveno isn't that great - Suna on the other of the lake is nicer.

The staff here were delightful - it looks like it's a family-run place and the couple in charge were really sweet and friendly. There was a funny, charming waiter called Alessandro who chatted with us a lot and really put us at ease. There were no mosquitoes, which was surprising as I've definitely been bitten to death by them on Lago Maggiore before (maybe later in the season?). The view is great. There was a table football table in the boys' room which was cool. There was a good range of choices for breakfast. It's literally on the lake front - and two minutes from the ferry port. You couldn't hope for a better location. Baveno is nicer than Stresa as it's a bit less touristy and has a more chilled vibe.

Beautiful Lake front view & great selection for breakfast which you can take outside to enjoy by the waterfront. Friendly family run hotel. Nice little rooftop garden area looking toward the church. Close to many restaurants & public ferry. Train station walking distance & free car parking nearby. A little gem.

Beds were not comfortable and the extra blanket in the closet appeared to not have been washed in a long time.

The hotel is very dated but sufficient for the price. Had a GREAT breakfast selection which we enjoyed being able to take out by the lake! Location was fantastic.

I am American and we are used to a little higher level of air conditioning but in Europe I don't expect that same level. Every other thing more than met our expectations.

The breakfast was amazing and the view while eating outside was incomparable. The food was so fresh and tasty, at dinner as well as breakfast. The staff was so pleasant and answered any questions we had. The price was great. I would definitely stay here every time I visited Lago Maggiore.

Not quite as grand rooms as on the photos but only to be expected.

This hotel is a super find, right on the lake front and our room view was out the back to the old church, bell and mountains, just super. Our room was comfortable and clean and breakfast was plentiful and a great selection. We were able to take breakfast out to the seating by the lakeside which was just perfect. We were touring on motorbikes and were able to park them safely at the rear of the property. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. It is 2 minutes walk to the ferry to the island tour which was fabulous, especially Isobella. I would happily stay here again if in the area.

Would have liked more variety in dinner choices.

Location was suburb!. It was close to the ferry, right on the water, and near the church, collonade and Granite Museum. Breakfast was very good with lots of fruit and other choices.

I had the most amazing steak at the hotel restaurant, the staff were excellent at the hotel and restaurant. The room was slightly hot but it was a hot weekend! The hotel location and the view from the room is stunning. Hotel is a bit worn but that didn't matter to us as we had a lovely stay.
