Splitting hairs... I'd say dated furnishings but...

... the rest of the hotel is stupendous. Highly recommended if you do not want to start in the CT villages but you get the benefit of breathtaking views of three of them. For hikers, the path between Manarola and Corniglia passes a few meters away.

Public Bus Service to Manarola partially reliable.

Georgious view to Manarola and Corniglia. Hotel is on the hiking trail in between those cinque terre cities. Wonderful terrace. Car parking available. Top service by the owners. Any wish gets fulfilled. Perfect breakfast.

The location is fantastic with a good view towards both Manarola and Corniglia. Good starting point for hiking to both villages. Very good breakfast that can energize you for the trekking. We would like to give our special thanks to the hotel staff who helped to collect our forgotten bag at the local bus stop, really appreciated!

The view! Sitting on the terrace up in Volastra was the Cinque Terre dream come true. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful (set you up nicely for a day of hiking). Two restaurants and a small shop were handy but with some planning (and do book!) dinner down in Manarola doable. Just don’t miss the bus, it’s a long walk up!) I would recommend fully for a great stay away from the crowds.

Spectacular location perfect for hiking to Manarola and Corniglia. Facilities were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a huge treat and very generous. We unfortunately arrived very late at night and it was challenging to find the location. We were grateful the staff waited to check us in. The language barrier between us and the staff was challenging but we managed. They sometimes seemed gruff and did not offer much assistance in navigating the area. But overall, it was a terrific location with a breathtaking view!

The bed was a little bit uncomfortable (our room had a thin mat over the mattress).

The hotel has an excellent location and has an amazing view, you can reach Manarola in 10 minutes by bus or in 30 minutes by walking (an adventure that require some skills). They offer a good breakfast and the room cleaning is excellent.

Trying to find it. Park your car at the church, have someone stay with the car. Walk downhill with church on the right, turn right at the restaurant, walk about 20M take the steps down on the left, go past 1st dwelling on right, more down the steps and you have arrived. And you cannot bring your own food or wine till after 9pm

Location is perfect to get away from the busy towns. Its high above the hills with the most amazing view and sunset. Total relaxation. Room was big, bed was good. Breakfast was buffet with lots of choices. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and nice to chat to. A mini bus runs up and down to Manarola on a regular basis. €2.50 one way. This is a great place for hill walkers.

The views and location were amazing. Nice small town situated above and away from the busyness of the tourist. Staff were very accommodating. Perfect little restaurant that was recommended close by.

It would have been nice with something light to eat/drink in the afternoon on the terrace.

It was a nice little calm hotel with a brilliant location on the trails. Number of restaurants in Volastra are very limited. We walked from Manarola during the night, be prepared for a 1 hour long challenging walk. Great that you could offer parking. More fruit would have been nice for breakfast.

Since we had a rental car, the availability of car parking was a big plus - we parked and didn't touch the car for 3 days. The location for us was perfect to do the hikes to Manarola and to Corniglia and Vernazza. The view from the terrace was outstanding. We appreciated the savory oriented breakfast with scrambled eggs/
