How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We were not in the Hotel building. Shower was too small to move in. Breakfast time finished too early.

The room was small for 4 but it was very clean and with all the comforts . It was cool and well ventilated and you had small terraces to have a lunch or do sun baths
Absolutely the friendly people that run the hotel and their staff . The huge breakfast and the location . It is very close to the beach, train station and all the town facilities, you don’t need a car . All the property was very tidy and clean

No elevator, and very inconvenient stairs to get to the 4 floor. Rooms looked much bigger on pictures. Bad internet. No free parking.
Breakfast was fine, except I expected better coffee in Italy. Location was convenient. Pleasant staff. Small refrigerator was handy.

The guy who was responsible for the coffe machine and the croissants was unfriendly. Toilet ring was falling off. Shower had some black mold on it, was a little disgusting.
The room was okay. Some furniture were a little damaged and dirty. Bed was great and really comfortable. Staff at the entrance was nice.

Breakfast staff hotel overall
fantastic little hotel with fabulous staff,the room was great with two balconies,one always with sun or shade. the breakfast was fantastic with an abundance of choices.Would highly recommended this hotel plus it’s only a few minutes from the beach

Weaknesses : - From my hotel included breakfast I got food poisoning and pimples came out of my body, so I don't think the food was all fresh. - Food from other restaurants from the beach was like in my hotel - They use old food. Nothing is thrown away (Italian style) - All the buildings are glued together and almost everywhere you do not receive parking space at the accommodation. You shall know that everywhere in Allasio and other sea places, parking is available from 08:00 in the morning unti 23:00 in the night and cost per each hour from 1.5 Euro/h until 2.5 or 3 Euro/h, a new theft from Italians who rob tourists, so maybe you can watch the movie 'The Italian job' :))). - In almost all restaurants Italy has ''COPERTINE' tax (tax for cleaning the table, to wash you dishes), so after you eat, you will find on your bill this tax. Tax is between 1.5 Euro per person up to maximum 3 Euro per person- It seems to me a new theft from them. - Food in supermarkets is expensive compared with other countries. It is better to eat in the restaurant than to buy from the supermarket :)). Final conclusion: If you have money and do not have what to do with them, please visit the side with Italian Riviera and for sure you will return with your pocket empty. All the best and for my Italian friends I have the following message : ''Germany rules in everything !'' ;)
Strengths : - Beach at 300 m from hotel. - Balcony of the room was good one. - Fan/Ventilator from the room was a good one. To be honest-- I do not like in Italy, because people are trying to rob you (this is the italian style).

The hotel was just the right spot for is to stay in Alassio. It was near to walk to the beach. The room had a good space with fridge and a good size toilet/shower. It had a terrace in the room and was a good spot to hang and dry your clothes. Ample buffet breakfast in the morning and the staff were really helpful and accommodating.
