Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Netherlands175 euro per night for a triple is way overpriced, but this seems to be an issue for all Rome around peak season dates. Outdated facility, and service was very basic though sufficient for our needs. Warm shower water lasted just a few minutes, the third person had to shower with cold water every day.
Good location, pizzeria/terrace in front of door with service at 3am when we arrived. The room was very clean and cleaned every day.

IndiaExtremely small rooms. No kettle or glasses in the rooms. The gentleman at the reception is distant and was unable to process requests online. No response from the hotel on booking.com
Right next to the Termini station. Has an elevator, and close to many restaurants and has a supermarket right opposite. Some staff members were very warm and helpful, especially the young bell boy from India who's also a student studying masters. Inspiring to see. They are able to book a taxi to the airport which was helpful. Basic breakfast.

BrazilThe TV was a small computer monitor that we couldn't turn on, but everything else worked fine.
A non-luxurious hotel close to Termini Station – and therefore an option for those who want to get to or leave Rome quickly. Upon arrival, it takes some time to understand the specifics of the place: apparently, different hotels occupy the same building, and it is easy to get lost in the labyrinthine structure. Once you get used to it, the whole thing even has some charm. The room was quite simple, with the most basic amenities, but it looked clean and renovated, and that was just what we wanted at that point in the trip. It's also worth highlighting the friendliness of the staff: upon discovering that we would be checking out very early, at four in the morning, the lady serving breakfast offered us an early coffee (service officially starts at 7 a.m.).

Bosnia and HerzegovinaSalt options for brekfast (ham, cheese, some veggies).
The brekfast is sweet options only, but it is tasty and there is plenty to eat. The rooms were dated but clean. The heeting was bad and it was cold in the room but that is due to heeting restricitons in Rome (we were in February 2023.) The location is perfect...very close to Termini station and train to airport, and Termini metro station. A waliking distance to piaza republica (5 min), fontana di trevi 30 min, panteon 35-40min....a lot of restaurants and food options all around hotel area, and also a mini supernarket is just across hotel. The staff was very friendley. All in all, for that price is really good deal, anyway you will just be using a room for sleepover so it is better to save money for sightseeing and other things. Deffinetly would choose it again.

SlovakiaReally old furniture, mattress was too soft and you could feel every movement of the other person. There was a pipe in the bathroom in a hole in the ceiling and you could see, that some of the amenities in the bathroom were missing/putted away. The ceiling in the bathroom was partially wet. Lot of dust under the bed und dirty walls, really need reconstruction. Breakfast was quite poor only toasts with butter and jam or fresh sweet pastries, juice and coffee machine.
It was quite, the lift was working most of the time. Fresh sweet pastries every morning.

PhilippinesNothing really. Just that on our last day there was maintenance work in the hotel and so the breakfast area had no electricity and we missed the lovely coffee.
The hotel was just a 5 min walk to Roma Termimi. Staff were very pleasant, especially Antonio at the reception and Luz from housekeeping. Room was spacious, equipped with a ceiling fan and heater. I think I did notice an airconditioner but I am not so sure. Breakfast was good especially considering it is a budget hotel. Really nice. There are many restaurants and shops around, some bakeries, and a small mercato just across the street.
