Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe price of the buffet is a little bit excessive, 9€ per person is in my opinion a bit too much.
The hotel is nicely renewed, very clean. The room was perfect with a nice bathroom, very comfortable bed and even a balcony.

The hotel is very quiet, in a good location. the bus stop is in front of and the station is near by, something about 8minute walking. I prefered to stay at the continent, because walk with luggage in Venezia is very hard. the room is good, the staff are very nice and the breakfast are very good too! Thanks!

NetherlandsThe mattress was too soft for my liking, but to each his own.
Location is very convenient for visiting Venice, with frequent train and bus connections. Staff is friendly and helpful. I liked the choice of breakfasts: Italian (i.e. small breakfast for a small price) or with all bells and whistles. Although the hotel is close to the railroad you hardly notice the trains going by at all.

CanadaThe hotel is in an industrial area so walking at night can be dark with little traffic. Not a problem for us but may be for some. No buses run by the hotel on Sunday. The property is one train stop away from Venice St Lucia main station BUT the Porto Marghera stop (600m away from hotel) is under construction. You can still use it but it just LOOKS sketchy and you walk through an industrial area to get to it. There is no ticket office so buy your tickets online (trenitalia). Air con could be colder, windows don’t have screens - there are mosquitoes!
The staff is excellent-very helpful, very knowledgeable, and quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Good breakfast, free secure parking, good restaurants within walking distance. Very close to Venice if travelling by car. Don’t worry about being right beside the train tracks, you can’t hear the trains if the windows are closed.

Romaniaeverything was more than perfect
very clean rooms, very quiet even though is right behind the railroad (trust me i am a light sleeper i slept like a baby) a big plus: right in front of the hotel is a bus station that takes you directly to venice (big big plus) and across the street is the bus station from Venice, also very close to the train station also a plus, because the last bus leaves from venice at 18:40, and the trains go untill 00:10 , no worries the lovely man at the reception will glady give you all the details even a printed timetable of the bus and train, also they sell tickets (cost a little bit more than the ones bought at the special ticket machine like 1,5 euros more but its ok) the hotel has a private enclosed parking (big plus) if you have to check out and want to visit venice again, the parking cost 5€ per day but its free otherwise. we had an italian breakfast but they also served a continental breakfast, it looked ok. overall if you travel by car and want to visit venice, i recommend booking this hotel! very clean!!!

UkraineI missed a kettle in the room to drink some tea in the evening and bottle of water, moreover there was no caffees or shops nearby:(
The hotel is situated not far from 2 train stations in Mestre 10 and 20 minutes walk. The room was very clean and big enough. I have booked room for 1 person, but it has very big bed, so may be they upgrated for me, thanks. The staff was very friendly and helpful and helped with train and bus schedule. My room's windows were facing to the railway road, so a bit nois, but I had earplugs) Enought towels in room, little fridge and safe. The breakfast was good enough for italian region. I could choose between 2 options: Italian 3 euros and Buffet 9 euros. Thank you so much, I recommend this hotel:)

IrelandHotel is located in a sort of an industrialised area so there is no real feeling / vibe of being in Italy when you are there! Outside of that, it was perfect.
