Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesSmall annoyances were the elevator (glad they had one) and the tub/Jacuzzi combo in the room which was very difficult to use. We are senior travelers.
The location, the rooftop bar/dining with gorgeous view of the city, the historical building, the receptionist who spoke good English and was very helpful. The breakfast buffet was good and dinner was delicious!

United StatesThe room was very dark without many lighting options and the wifi was terrible. Our room was on the 4th floor, right below the restaurant/breakfast area which was terrible for the noise. I am a heavy sleeper but I was woken up every morning and evening to all of the tables & chairs being moved around to set up for breakfast and clean after the restaurant closed.
The best part of this hotel is the location! Steps away from piazza navona and within 30 minutes walking distance to all of the popular sights. The room was comfortable and the breakfast also had good options. Slight road noise but that comes with being in the center!

Ireland1) Availability of the lift. My bedroom was on the 4th floor and on very many occasions I was waiting too long for the lift and had to use the stairs instead. 2) I found it very difficult to get the shower taps to operate each time I tried to use it.
Location was excellent. I liked the decor in bedroom.

United KingdomWould have liked a facility in room or elsewhere in hotel to make a coffee. Traffic/people noise for rooms overlooking the main road.
Location was fantastic with all the main attractions within an easy walk. Roof top terrace was lovely for breakfast. Room decor very unusual but excellent. Our room faced the main road, take earplugs.

United KingdomUnaware that there was building work going on at the time and being woken up with banging and work going on was not ideal. Was difficult to find the hotel initially as the entrance is kind of concealed between shops fronts .
Great location, close to restaurants and shops. Close to the bus stops for airport transfers.

United StatesThis is a very old building. Seems like there was no sound insulation at all. We were on the 4th floor and could hear conversations on the street. The restroom that the 5th floor terrace bar/restaurant uses was next to our room on the 4th floor. You must keep in mind that this hotel is in the city center with lots of noisy city activity going on all hours of the night. If you want a quiet place to rest, look elsewhere. Our bed sat much lower at the head than at the foot. Not sure what was going on there. There was no A/C in the room. They said they turn it on in May. Well, our room was hot in April. The shower was very slick, be careful. Antiquated electrical fixtures, be sure to take your own adapter, they had none to offer.
Classic hotel with a lot of style. Location was great. Easy access to piazzas and public transportation. The front desk staff was very helpful. We worked with several different folks there during our visit and they were all extremely hospitable. The housekeeping crew kept our room immaculately clean.

AustraliaIt was difficult to find at first. The room is quite small, but sufficient. It was unfortunate we had chosen a non-flexible tariff as we needed to change our plans and lost money on an extra night. Might have been cheaper to pay extra for the flexibility!
It was a convenient location, within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go in Rome, right around the corner from Piazza Navona. From here we walked to Castel San'Angelo, the Vatican, Pantheon, Trevi Foundation, Roman Forum & Colosseum. We enjoyed the lovely rooftop breakfast, with a spectacular view of Rome.

AustraliaThe room was clean however because the room was dark and had dark furnishings it could be harder to tell how clean it was compared to a lighter room. The bathroom had everything we needed, but the shower head was detachable and needs to be held in order to use it which was inconvenient (it did not hang from the wall), especially if you need to wash your hair.
The hotel was in an excellent location, right near Piazza Navona and other attractions such as the pantheon. The bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomI did not like that i was checked in 30 mins late than usual because they are still cleaning the room. I encountered another guest at the lift as well and she mentioned she was checked in a bit late as well. The only little thing that i did not like about my room was the portraits lining on the walls…haha! I mean maybe they can change it cause it can be a bit creepy sleeping with a portrait infront of your bed holding a skull?hahaha. I mean i understand they have this renaissance vibe of the room but maybe the hotel can change some of its painting decors in the room…😀
The location of this property is superb… just 2 mins away from piazza navona. Castel san’t angelo is 10 Mins away, pantheon 8 mins away, trevi fountain around 10-15 mins away. There are supermarkets and lots of restaurants around. No need to worry about taxis as they are always lining outside the hotel ( was surprised about the taxi fare in Rome, it is not that expensive to get around the place). They also have a terrace restaurant to enjoy the view of rome whilst having some drinks and food. Try the Rosamunda resto just beisde the hotel their food is amazing!!! Very casual on the go pizzeria but they have seats as well inside. My bedroom is spacious, bed is comfy and they have a mini fridge inside the room as well. Oh and they have a lift but only 3 pax can fit in there at a time 😀

United KingdomCalling reception to get in on first night. The old lift, so walking up 3/4flights to room rather than go in the lift (that needs labeling up inside..know idea which floor reception was on. The one time we did use it to leave with cases we ended up at a brick wall, the back on level 3?? The windows are old and let all of the sound in. The rooms in the evening were very cold, probably better in summer.
The location was fantastic. The room was clean.

GreeceA few minor issues are that the nightstands are not nightstands per se, the wallpapers could need a redo, the room is a tad dark, and the closet was missing a handle. Truly minor issues that didn’t really affect our stay.
The room was super clean. The moment we entered the room we smelled the chlorine. They tidy the room every day. The location is perfect. I suggest you dine in the rooftop at least once during your stay, and try the carbonara and risotto or just enjoy a glass of wine. Don’t forget to ask for the main door code as it may be locked at night.

SlovakiaIt wasn’t something to dislike as such, but when we were looking for the hotel, it was a bit hard to find on the street, since the sign is quite small. We have to emphasize that it was around midnight when we arrived, but found it within 3 minutes (pictures helped)
Everything was perfect! Clean, tidy, enough bathroom supplies - such as soap, shower gel, toilet paper, towels etc. Staff was wonderful, always willing to help, we had to have the check-in later and one of staff was waiting there for us. The room was something else! We didn’t know what to expect at first, since we have never had this kind of historical apartment, but it was lovely! Location was absolutely amazing, close by feet almost everywhere (we used metro only twice). Taxis were all around the hotel, so there were absolutely no issues with finding a taxi to get to the airport (Ciampino) for 31€ only! View from the rooftop was lovely. Overall, we definitely recommend staying in Antica Dimora!
