Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Lovely family run old Borgo in the very scenic Loguduro. Charming rooms and lovely old furniture. Excellent restaurant and reasonably priced. Great wine too from their own vineyard. Breakfast was fabulous with freshly baked pastries, fruit, delicious yoghurt, ricotta and local honey. Great coffee too!

RussiaNothing, it exceeded our expectations on every count.
We had a fantastic stay in Borgo Lu Puleu, greatly exceeding our expectations. Silvia and her team provided attentive service throughout our visit, always going the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable. Every single detail was well-thought-out - there was amazing bed linen, beautifully embroidered napkins and unique crockery (which added a special touch to each meal). The rooms boast tasteful decor and comfortable beds ensuring a great night's sleep. We also appreciated the ample outdoor space for relaxation, paired with outstanding views that served as a constant backdrop to our stay. Dinners and breakfasts were another highlight, pleasing both in presentation and taste. Thank you to Silvia and the staff for a remarkable stay; we look forward to returning.

United KingdomNothing at all
It exceeded expectations. A beautiful boutique hotel on a top of a hill in the Sardinian countryside with great views. You could see the milky way at night and it was tranquil. The rooms are exceptional, no plastic used, all vintage and hand made furnishings. You can feel the dedication from the owners of their ancestral home. All the soaps and materials are locally made. Allesandro and Silvia, the owners, are impeccable hosts, offering advice, support and knowledge and it's a privilege to be welcomed into their world. The pools is great and lots of space and comfortable furniture and the excellent team provide drinks, meals, or snacks to you. The restaurant, which isn't obligatory, served the best meals we had in Sardinia or anywhere. The chef, who is Michelin trained, caters to our personal preferences and provides great locally sourced food in a lovely setting, to a small number of tables. So much so that it could be considered a destination restaurant or a restaurant with rooms. Some have said that €60 is high but it is actually great value with the quality of service, ingredients and personal touches. My wife is pregnant so this was particularly important. Should you want cheaper options, Tula and Perfugas provide traditional Sardo food within about a ten minute drive. The service staff are excellent, and Giovanni always prepared for us an amazing a la carte breakfast, and brining to to the table outside our room to enjoy. This is truly a great place for someone who wants a authentic experience away from the mass coastal tourism. You'll need a car but you'll be rewarded for it, with excellent beaches an easy half an hour drive away and lovely countryside villages. We were here for 9 days and wish we could stay for longer. It's by far the most relaxed, friendly and authentic trip we've done. I wish the owners great success, thank you for a brilliant honeymoon.

United KingdomWe stayed for the last three nights of our honeymoon and loved it so much that we didn't leave the hotel once! It was the best place we stayed in our four week trip around Italy and Europe. The staff are incredible, so welcoming and highly professional - special mention to Giovanni who was fantastic. The service is better than some five star hotels. They offer a WhatsApp service where you can order drinks and food to the pool or your room, which is so luxurious. We ate dinner in the restaurant every night, which was delicious and some of the best food we ate on our entire trip. Five courses of what seemed to us Michelin star food for €60 per person - not cheap but actually very good value for the high quality and service. The breakfast was a real treat with loads of choice, cooked to perfection. The room was beautifully decorated and felt very luxurious, whilst still retaining a traditional Sardinian feel. The pool area is gorgeous, with huge day beds and big fluffy towels provided to make it extremely comfortable. There are unbelievable views all around the property, with lots of nice spots to sit and read a book. We made use of the star gazing platform one evening, and also had massages outside under the trees on another evening. The owners Alessandro and Silvia were so welcoming and made us feel totally at home. We thought it was excellent value for money and would love to come back one day. We are still dreaming of it now we are back at work! Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful experience. We will be recommending this place to family and friends.

PortugalThe place is a bit isolated and there are no facilities nearby, but you get all you need in there, such as a drink by the pool at any time, a top dinner or a light meal. Top quality service, and super friendly owners and family. We were so lucky to have the chance to enjoy a jazz concert that the owners arrange once in a while, it was a fantastic evening.

It is in a stunning location with wonderful views across the mountains. The individual houses are unique and so tastefully furnished. The pool area is wonderful with table service to your sun bed and the restaurant food is exceptional with amazing sunsets each evening. You do need a car if you want to explore which is well worth doing and also ask for help from Silvia or Alessandro or any of the staff who have great recommendations and will help organise anything for you.

United StatesEverything was lovely. I was skeptical driving there as it’s very remote, but from the moment you arrive you’re meant to feel at home. The accommodation, the grounds, the food, all is wonderful. I was there during some bad weather, but they held a cooking class that lasted all afternoon and made you quickly forget the weather. It doesn’t hurt that it was an excellent opportunity to bond with fellow guests over a few glasses of wine. My only regret is not staying there longer. I will most certainly return.
