The flat was right on the central piazza and directly beside the lake with good water views. It is an old building without a life but the apartment had everything we needed. Host Stefano picked us up at the station which is quite far, carried our bags upstairs and took us back to the station on departure

Lots of stairs! But good exercise.

The apartment is on the third floor of an historic building overlooking Piazza Motta and lake Orta. There are all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay and plenty of space. The bed was the most comfortable I'd slept in in a month of traveling. Stefano welcomed us and provided all the information we needed. Great having under cover parking nearby.

Due to my back I wish the bed was more comfortable, less hard and more supportive.

Need to keep windows shut at night to keep the noise out. On the ground floor is a restaurant and when it rains cockroaches come out and the smell in the stairway isn’t great. However the apartment is on the top floor, no funky smell in the apartment and no cockroaches were to be found there :)

Everything was great. The only slight negative for us was hauling our luggage from the designated parking because we had too much luggage. The designated parking is perfect though, so with lighter luggage it would be a breeze. Parking in Orta San Giulio is not easy so having your own private parking garage is a huge bonus.

Perfect location, right in the middle of the piazza and all the restaurants, bars and shops. Even better than the photos depicted. Stefano is an incredible host and provided very helpful instructions to arrive and also tips and suggestions during our stay. I highly recommend staying at OrtaFlats when in Orta San Giulio.

The location was unbelievable, outstanding. The view and all the area exceeded all expectations. The lake, the town square, Isola San Giulio and Sacro Monte are a perfect summary of Italian beaty. All the people there are nice and kind...

It's quite a time to renovate the bathroom.

Location ! Direct on the market place in the center, with view at the lake. Nice bedroom with the original wooden ceiling. Private garage 5min walk away of apartment. Very friendly host.

The bed is not so comfortable and there is no elevator to access the upper floors so it is important to travel light

The central location means it does get busy from Restaurants and local shops, which could be a downside depending on how sensitive you are to noise. The flat we had was clean and bright, and amenities were functional if perhaps a bit basic if you wanted to self-cater extensively.

Super central location with direct view on to the lake (depending on the room); the host picked us up from the train station, which was very nice, and there were some good and useful brochures and flyers on what to do in and around Orta.
