Flavia, the host, was super welcoming, and she also gave us tons of recommendations (even before our trip) on what to visit, where the best places to eat are, and where to hang out. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and thanks to the host for going above and beyond to make our stay even more memorable.

San Giovanni is a great place for a group of friends! :) very well connected, there is both a bus stop and a metro. Nearby there are very atmospheric pubs that reflect the real Italian atmosphere. Flavia is a very nice and helpful person, we felt very taken care of :) the apartment itself is very clean and has all the necessary amenities, the area is quiet and safe. I highly recommend this place!

We booked Appartamento Roma San Giovanni through Booking.com. Flavia, our host, contacted us on WhatsApp a few days before our arrival in Rome and provided us with excellent information about sights, restaurants, local specialties, etc. It was much easier for us to know that we could contact her in order to get answers to our questions, and we did so several times during our stay in Rome (again, thank you Flavia). Booking.com also provided a taxi (MyTravelThru) from the airport (Fiumicino) to our accommodation at no additional cost. The apartment is in the eastern part of Rome, near the city walls, in a modern and clean area with access to the metro (right across the street), cafes, restaurants, and gelato shops (two of which are directly across from the accommodation). It has a circular structure with an island in the middle where the bathroom and kitchenette are; on the left, the bedroom (with a double bed) and on the right an entrance hall (practically another room) with a circular table and an extensible sofa bed. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, bidet, sink, and shower cabin. All windows are on the back facing an interior court – no noise. Flavia's father (who lives next door) welcomed us and explained how everything works in the apartment (thank you very much). We ate pizza (Pizza Alice chain recommended by Flavia) and gelato every day (a must when in Italy). For dinner, we chose only restaurants near our accommodation (many of which were recommended by our host). We enjoyed Osteria Feelsgood, Spaccio Pasta, Le virtu in tavola, Trattoria Pizzeria Da Simonetta. We had breakfast at Bar Cagliari dal 1969, Pompi (must try the Tiramisu), and Materia Café (also many of them recommended by our host). We did our daily shopping at Pam Local also very close to our accommodation. The host also helped us reserve a taxi for the airport at the end of our stay.

We liked everything about this apartment. Clean, few steps from metro. Flavia is amazing and very kind. Unfortunately, My husband’s wallet was stolen. Flavia went out of her way to assist us and try to make us feel better. She even offered to go to the police with us. She really made our trip to Rome much more memorable and we were so happy that we met her! On the other hand, the most comfortable bed and pillows! When we go back to Rome, we will not look for another place to stay.! Flavia - a heartful thank you for all you did.. we will never forget!

The apartment has an imaginative and efficient distribution, but I could not get used to the different level of the inside corridors.

This is a great place to stay in Rome. The location is perfect. The apartment is located very close to the San Giovanni metro station, a 2-minute walk, from which you can directly reach all the main attractions. There are many sights nearby. It took us only 15 minutes on foot to reach the Colosseum. The apartment is very nice, comfortable and clean. It is located in the city center and regardless of that it is still very quiet. It contains everything you need for a pleasant stay. Flavia is a wonderful host. Very dedicated young lady and always available. She gave us very helpful tips for restaurants and sightseeing, where to go, what to see and how to get there. Very pleasant and helpful communication. We really enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend it to everyone.

Everything was just perfect!

Very much, very good sleep with excelent bed, excellent bed linen, pillows and air conditioning! Very silent place far from the noisy city but close to everything you need! Very comfy and spacious flat! San Giovanni is a must, has the best gelato in town (Rivareno) just across the street with plenty of options to the lactose intolerants (strawbery, pistaccio, chocolate, coconut, passion fruit, fig). Very nice bars and restaurants in the area, besides Alice pizza al taglio (pizza sold by weigh) on the next block. Metro station is exactly 50 steps away and take you to the major places in town. The owner always very kind and prepared to give suggestions and offer help! We highly recommend!

Everything was wonderful. Flavia is really the best host you could wish for your Rome holiday. She has already given us countless tips for restaurants and sightseeing in advance. And also during our stay she helped us at all times, everything was always very uncomplicated. The apartment is very modern, very clean and quiet. Very close to the metro (even though we were unlucky and there was a strike of metro and buses one day, which made our life difficult as we couldn't find any taxi available...)

Flavia is an excellent host, she did absolutely everything to make us feel like at home in her apartment . a beautiful apartment in a classic building on the fifth floor, in an excellent location that is well connected to all the sights in Rome . Metro station to city center just 2 minutes walking from the apartment .Elite Supermercato only 5 min walking .We needed a very early check-out due to an early flight at Fiumicino airport, so Flavia was very helpful in calling us a taxi that came to the front door even though it's a Saturday summer night so it's not very easy.Also, Flavia's father is in the next apartment, so the feeling of security is complete . The apartment is spacious, modernly equipped with all amenities that provide a comfortable stay.During the night, we heard the cackling of geese from the yard side, which made us smile : ) : ) . There are 2 air conditioners in the apartment, but we almost didn't use them at all because the apartment is pleasant despite 35 degrees outside.Communication with Flavia is absolutely easy and always available which is extremely helpful .It just needs to be said, it's Rome and it's summer, so it's very important to have that kind of help .Rome impressed us, as if we were in a dream, so we will return to Rome, for sure Flavia's apartment again, I hope soon, outside the main season, when everything will be more favorable.

Me and my bf stayed for 3 nights in apartment and I may say this was one of our best experience renting a flat. Flavia is such a kind and welcoming person! 🤍She gave us a lot of wonderful recommendations of cafes and gellaterias, as well as must visit historical landmarks. We got to Rome earlier than check-in time, and since the apartment was ready we got the keys early in the morning. Also, we were provided with a free breakfast in the nearest caffe (with delicious sandwiches and coffee!). The location of apartment is precious. When you get inside the building to the small inner garden - it feels like you found oasis - so quiet and shadowed compering to the street noise and summer hot. It is five minutes from metro, and the metro line is perfect for tourism - it gets you to all the main sightseeing spots. We had everything we needed in the apartment: kitchen staff, iron, orthopedic mattress and even orthopedic pillow, two conditioners, two TV’s, fridge (with a perfect size to put a box of pizza inside 😁),sofa and full length mirror. Hot water was from the boiler so no worries to suddenly have no shower in the evening :) For those who doesn’t see blackout curtains on the photos - there are outside shutters on each window, so you can make it dark and sleep as much as you wish. This apartment is perfect for two person. We will definitely chose Flavia’s apartment when coming back next time!

Everything was perfect! Our host Flavia was so helpful and friendly. Her advice on the local area was fantastic and if she did not know the answer to our question she tried her best to find it. Also she welcomed us with breakfast because we arrived early and didn't have time to eat. We appreciate this! The property is near San Giovanni metro station so that you have a direct connection to Vatican, Piazza di Trevi etc. Also the appartment is very clean and you have everything that you need for a cozy stay (iron, hair dryer, towels, toilet paper and etc).

Normally I'm not eager to write a review on Booking, but this place (and especially its host) deserves it. Apartment is really nice place, probably designed by an interior architect or someone with really good taste. It's not enormously big, but comfortable and classy. Has all facilities you will need (air conditioning, TV set, equipped kitchen, coffee maker, nice bathroom, big bedroom). Despite it's located in city center it's still very silent. Location was perfect for us, Lateran just behind the corner, walk to Colosseum took us not more than 15 mins, underground is literally downstairs. Last but not least, the host. Such a helpful person! Flavia also recommended us a bunch of food spots around the city, we tried few of them and it was all cool, even a real foody should be satisfied. You should follow her recommendations.
