Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceOur aim was actually to rest in the hotel all times, but there was just one a la carte restaurant and it was not that good which is a shame. Because for a high standard hotel we were expecting also high quality food. So after eating 3 days in the same place we decided to eat outside, but reaching the parking or outside was also not that easy since the residence area was quite big. So we lost every time a lot of time.
It was a beautiful resort in a private peninsula with a gorgeous nature, wild animals, coves and sea where you can definitely do snorkeling and see a lot of fish. Free canoe equipment was surprising in a positive way. There was also a possibility to rent a private boat to see the gorgeous coves nearby. Our room and especially its sea view was breathtaking! We enjoyed our time overall!

United KingdomUnfortunately Dune was not for us, after 1 evening we decided to move to Borgo Cala Moresca Arbatax as we found this part of resort more relaxing and more what we were looking for, travelling as a couple we prefer less of a family atmosphere and more of a relaxed atmosphere with not many children.
Great resort with many different types of rooms to cater for most guests. Thank you for allowing to move to Borgo

CanadaBeing cruised by the staff upon arrival before the check-in was a less than desirable situation. When you get to the resort, there isn't a lot of indications as to what you're expected to do: where to park, where to show up, etc. The long wait with the weirdo trying to pick me up in front of my friends made it more awkward. We were passing by only for one night. The person who made our check in was very polite and professional, although their colleague was looking down on us for not staying longer and explained in very broad strokes the resort and services. The buffet were plentiful but I expected more quality from them. It was ok. Also, worth noting that there are a lot of jelly fish on that coast and their beaches are not immune to their presence. Beware, bathing isn't always an option.
The villas, the ambiance, the beach, most of the staff. The room was great and very clean. The layout of the park was also very enjoyable to discover.

BelgiumIt was humid in the room The bed and the bedsheets were not comfortable On the day of departure we waited over 30 minutes for someone to come pick us up at our little cottage… We didn’t like the fact that the park was so big and that our car was left at the entrance, very far from everything
Nice room with a nice view (cuz we paid for a sea view)

SwitzerlandThe restaurant and bar staff, apart from a few amazingly nice ones, were unfriendly, made no effort and were sometimes badly trained, which is not what you expect of a 4 star resort. Rooms (classic) were very basic , bathrooms so old and no shelves to put items on. All the restaurants are self service buffets apart from pizza place and one other but it was reserved for Suite guests. There is Italian pop music in every bar and swimming pool playing full blast almost all day so if you want peace and quiet go to the beach. Very poor information about what activity can be done at what times so you may find out cool stuff on your last day and leave guttered . Staff is overtired of repeating things over and over: an information board could be easier for everyone . Adult activities start before kids ones so if you are a single parent you need to be super organized. You need a car if you don’t want to get claustrophobic. The beaches there are nice but not suitable for kids all day long . But it can be done without a car if you get organized (shuttle to Orri must be booked day before and taxis are expensive).
The place is in a beautiful setting, quiet (if you are not near the pools) and very big so there is enough room for everyone to do everything most of the time . The highlight was clearly the animators that took care of the kids and put up a different semi-professional show on every night for kids and parents . They were super nice with everyone, included non -Italian speaking children and tried to make everyone happy. The Dune hotel staff were nice too and arranging as i was given a room in a place that was convenient for me and my daughter.

Francethere was no wifi in the room nor any connection to the public telephone network, the beach was almost non-existent contrary to what one could expect from the advertisement, the organization (breakfast, dinners, shops) was impractical: not close, and sometimes with strange payments methods (need to get and refill a special card to pay)

IrelandThe parking was very far from the rooms/reception and at night (after 8pm) there was no shuttle service, so we had to walk 15 min to the room from the parking lot which is quiet inconvenient if you go out for dinner/arrive late.
There are many different beaches which you can chose from, several restaurants available so great resort where you can stay for a long time.

AustraliaNot much! The only criticism was we could not turn off the air conditioning and the landscaping around the water etc was starting to look a bit tired, however it was the end of a 'big' summer season! Our door lock broke, but it was attended to immediately and cheerfully.
Everything was great. The room was lovely. The proximity to the water was great. The food choice in the restaurant was excellent. The access to bars was fabulous. The view was amazing.

United KingdomThe Dune area of the Arbatax Park Resort in Sardinia is a fantastic destination. The natural beauty is stunning, with breathtaking landscapes and a private beach that offers a serene escape. The accommodations are comfortable and well-maintained, and the staff is welcoming and attentive to guests' needs. The cuisine features a delicious array of traditional Sardinian dishes. I highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in the beautiful Sardinian setting.

United KingdomWe have been sold a 4 stars resort but unfortunately it’s not even close to it, though we paid the price for it. We had to deal with a blackout for one night and we didn’t have any hot water the next day. You are isolated from Wi-Fi and phone signal. Everything looks old due to a big lack of maintenance (pictures are most likely been taken when they first opened). The breakfast was just ok but don’t expect a 4 star quality. We also heard 2 from the chef staff having an argument while they were cooking the eggs for us, then heard one of them swearing. We heard from other guests the buffet lunch and dinner was also quite bad as other reviews mentioned. To move around the village you have to get a very uncomfortable open roof old bus which is every 30 minutes until midnight only, the seats are extremely hot and sometime you are left under the direct sun while the driver takes his 10 minutes break, even with 37 degrees outside. Trust me, you must take the bus to move around the areas of the village as everything is uphill and not a short distance. They should have at least one every 15 minutes. They sell themselves as eco resort but we have seen metal ladders thrown on the rocks (dune side) and big parts of their plastic wharf inside the sea!! Some cleaners do not speak neither Italian or English. The manager of Dune was great but she looked overloaded of work and was rushing all the time, it really seemed they didn’t have enough staff and the few were not properly trained. A member of staff was sanding down a completely rusted rail above the restaurant while people were walking under its toxic dust. The rooms smells mouldy and we could find some mould inside the wardrobe including dust inside the drawers. The phone in the room hasn’t been cleaned for months as it had a layer of dust on it and the floor didn’t look well cleaned and with hairs from previous guests. The basin was clogged.
The only great thing is the location and the design of the village. The village includes a natural park with animals which is worth to see. The coast is beautiful. Some staff is very friendly and helpful.

ItalyRoom was very small. Despite the property is in a natural park, the bus service runs every 30 mins and not from all the locations, so you need to climb slopes anyway. No one briefed us about the bus service and also for the checkout, that we did very early in the morning, the receptionist didn’t give us information and we had to go around the resort to find someone that could help, while carrying the luggages through the hills. The breakfast was very poor quality, with frozen croissants, not great choice, and despite the staff was behind the stations doing anything, when asked to make an omelette they refused it,because “it’s not season yet”. Facilities of the resort are poor,no proper gym available. Without a car, you cannot visit the surroundings, since the property is very isolated

United KingdomArbatax Park in Sardinia is a great resort. It's big enough to be interesting, but not so big that you're walking for hours on end to get everywhere. We stayed at Le Dune which was a great location and gave a really good selection of restaurants and buffets. Exceptionally clean, spacious and views from the balcony were superb.

United KingdomThe arrival process takes longer than is necessary (2 hours and there was only 8 of us waiting) due to lack of simple organisation. The lady who sings the same depressing ballads every evening in the main square doesn’t set the tone for a fun evening. If you want a big safe beach for kids you need to leave the resort to a nearby beach as the rocks around the resort aren’t safe. The food in the buffet is nice thanks to the fantastic chefs but the service and set up feels much like a school cafeteria and not a romantic evening for a couple. In general there is not a lot to do at this resort and it is very relaxed almost like a glamourised camping so leave your heels and dresses at home. I recommend to hire a car so you can leave the resort and explore the beauty of Sardinia. Hire a boat in the marina for a fun day out along the coast!
The resort is large with various areas of accommodation, restaurants, bars and beaches depending on your reservation so be aware that you have your own selected buffet restaurant depending on which accommodation you choose.
