How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The bathroom was not entirely clean.
Very friendly host. Breakfast was of good quality with lots of choices. The host was very helpful and accomodating regarding allergies and food intolerances. B&B is located in the city center and easy to reach via train.

Everything was a 10. The place is a piece of art, clean, spacious and so stylish with the best bed. It feels like a luxury Airbnb home. Everything was very nice. The owner is really helpful and welcoming. We got messages prior to arrival, tips about local places to see and eat etc. The renovation of the old building has been done with a modern twist and is done very elegantly. Every room has a high ceiling, comfy bed, is a quiet and relaxing place to be. The common area/breakfast place is really cosy and we had a lovely breakfast (food in abundance). The owner and her staff made our stay standing out from other places, you really get personal attention and is taken well care of. We simply loved it here!!!

This is a small hotel in a very convenient location in Cagliari. The owner texted us as soon as we arrived at the airport to see if we needed any help and this level of service and attention to detail was maintained throughout our stay. The rooms are all on the same floor as the breakfast room and the owner told us to make ourselves at home and if we needed anything at any time just go into the breakfast room and help yourself. And she absolutely meant it. The breakfast was freshly prepared every day with plenty of choice.

Can't think of anything important
Excellent stay. Room very comfortable with an elegant and modern design within a 2nd floor apartment in a classical beautiful building in Cagliari's historical centre at the Marina district. Signora Grazia has been an excellent host, very polite, hospitable and helpful, speaking English fluently. The breakfast was excellent and the bed very comfortable. Location is the best. Highly recommended.

In loud nights, you can hear a bit the people outside in the streets from the room, but for us this was no problem at all.
Very well and beautifully renovated rooms in the middle of Cagliari. Grazia was very helpful and also the breakfast was really great.

Sometimes it’s strange checking out of these places when there’s no one there, but it’s becoming more common I think.

Everything was perfect !
Everything about this accommodation is absolutely wonderful . I can’t recommend it highly enough. The care and detail that Grazia and her staff take to ensure that one’s stay is so very special is beyond what I have experienced before. From the details in the room, the fabulous advice on what to see and where to eat and the delicious breakfasts to the genuine care and attentiveness was second to none.

That we were only there for three days.
Everything. The room and entire property was tastefully decorated and was right in the heart of Cagliari. The room we chose was very spacious with a spacious bathroom. Our host Grazia was delightful, she welcomed you into her home like you were one of the family. She gave us tips on what to do and where to eat and her suggestion where great, especially for restaurants. She and her colleague Nicola provided a bountiful and devious breakfast every morning and the breakfast room felt very homely. Thank you once again Grazia for you hospitality
