Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe sort of knew what we’d be getting into when we rented a 3-room tent, but there were a couple surprises. The beds had a blanket and mattress cover, but no sheets. The shared bathrooms were a BYOTP (Bring Your Own Toilet Paper) situation. And there was no way to cool the tent beyond two small windows (and, conceivably, the large door, but there are no screens and we didn’t want an open door while sleeping).
The location is amazing and the price for what you get is pretty outstanding! It is right on the beach and has tons of other amenities. It would be especially great with kids, but even as grown adults, we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

SpainAll the sheets smell like vinegar and it is really annoying. Hard to find the pool and at the end it is really small and not clean. The woman on the desk told us they don't have pizzas in their restaurant and to go out of the camp for it, well they do have pizzas.
Easy to find.

United KingdomThe place was full of unruly, noisy groups of Italian teenagers who hung around in large groups. The whole site was overcrowded and there was no privacy in the tents set up. We were very close to others. Extremely noisy site with loud people and a road running through it with noisy bikes and cars at night. The swimming pool was overtaken by the youth groups in the afternoon who were quite intimidating, kicking balls over us and no staff willing to stop them. However they were very quick to tell us to not put the sun loungers on the grass under the trees which was the only shade. We thought it was odd to use swim caps whilst in a holiday place. We hated the pool and didn't really end up using it because of this which was such a shame. We were not told by staff that we did not automatically get sun beds on the beach. We were told to move to the public beach, as we were not allowed to even put towels down on the private one! We purchased them after this but would have been good to have been told before! It was embarrassing, plus the cost of the Superior set up tents is high, would have been nice to also get a sun bed included! I also expected something in the tents such as fans or some kitchen utensils, but there was literally nothing. I think this should be clearer, I just assumed as been to set up tents before in Europe with little kitchen areas. These were bare.
The distance to the beach was excellent and there were two nice restaurants close to the beach for evening meals. The use of pedalos and canoes was good fun. The Superior set up tent was quite nice in size and beds were comfortable.

HungaryFully equipped kitchen means: no hot water in the kitchen corner, no sponge, no dishwashing liquid, no hand towel. We asked at least a sponge, but it has been never arrived. The parking lot is around 1 Km far from our house, you can ask assistance to your baggage. We asked it, bu never arrived. Around the pool there is a bar/restaurant, but no food until 7pm... The gate between the beach and the camping was closed, we had to walk a lot. LOL, you had to wear swimming cap whan you want to use the pool, but Noone told that, No one provide one. They hate the hair in the pool, but they can see the dirt, the leaves and the sand in the pool... Crazy logic. No English infochart, no info at all. Not worth the money.
The palm trees was beautiful.
