How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Very small lift. Confusing check in with difficult to find entry.
Fantastic location. Large clean room. Shops close by. Porter was great carrying bags and helping find our room which was next door to main check in.

No door to bathroom. Curtain has to go.
Location is the best. Within walking distance of all the main locations in Rome. Breakfast was the best during our entire trip. Fresh, quality products and excellent service.

There was no view from our window. The room was not soundproof, so you heard everyone from outside the room to the neighbors, but luckily for us, we were heavy sleepers after long days of walking everywhere so it wasn’t a big problem.
The location is 10/10. Hotel welcomed us with a complimentary drink. The hotel itself is comftorable, smells really nice, the room itself was nice with a high ceiling. Breakfast was also perfect with lots to choose from and the staff was super friendly!

One minor issue is the corner reading chair in the room. It was one of most uncomfortable chair I’ve ever sat in. Perhaps the chair is good for changing one’s shoes, but not for extensive reading.
Location, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast, clean.

Beautiful hotel with combination of old Roman design and very new a modern. Very clean. Super comfortable beds. Very good breakfast with a lot of variety of many types to include gluten free. Very good costumer service . Highly recommend!

Nothing I didn’t like about the property as it exceeded our expectations if anything the mattress was a little too firm which hurt our backs
The property itself is amazing inside. We thought what are we walking into here but as soon as you walk into the reception it’s like a different place. The decor is amazing and really modern aswell as the rooms. The staff are really friendly to. The morning breakfast was amazing with plenty of selection and the restaurant staff are very nice making sure everything is clean and tidy and the food is always there when it goes low.

The hotel is bright, the girl at the reception, Viviana, was very helpful. The room cleaner lady did her work perfectly (unfortunately I do not know her name). Special thanks to superviser. The first room offered us was not good, upon our request, Viviana changed it. Our room 402, was at the separate building. Comfortable, bright, clean room. The location of the hotel is great, buses, trams taxis are next to it. The breakfast is good. We stayed for 3 nights and we were satisfied with hotel. I would offer the hotel.

Second time staying at the Argentina Style hotel. Still the perfect location. Still the clean and comfortable rooms. Beds were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was still charming as usual. Will stay for the third time in the future.

Nothing the hotel can do about it, as it is an old building, but there were some soundproofing issues, being able to hear the room next door and above us. Fortunately they managed to get their baby to sleep!!
Fantastic location, central to and within walking distance of all the sites, plenty of restaurants too. Room was spotless, comfortable bed and amazing, powerful, hot shower. Modern rooms within a very old, pretty building. Breakfast was fabulous - great choice, with some cooked options too. We appreciated the coffee machine in the room. In the centre of Rome, there will always be some street noise, but being set slightly back from the road (our room faced into the courtyard), I was expecting it to be noisier. The staff were wonderful - cheerful, helpful and more than accommodating. The hotel isn't the most obvious to find, as there is no sign from the road - the sign is only visible once you are within the courtyard - right next to the pasta e vino restaurant, but the staff were watching out for us, as the kind man saw us with our suitcases and called out to us, explaining how to access the hotel on the 1st floor. He then helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room personally. On leaving, it was really helpful to be able to leave our luggage for 4 hours too, as our flight was not until late afternoon, so we were able to enjoy our last morning. I would have no hesitation in booking the hotel again.
