Great location

This hotel is advertised as accessible. There are lifts and ramps for accessibility however the grounds are VERY hilly and taxis often struggle to find the correct entrance to drop you off at the reception door. I was made to climb stairs on numerous occasions and I have a serious ankle injury. I really struggle with stairs and walking long distances so I asked the hotel to put me near the elevator and close to the lobby etc. this request was granted. They made it as easy as possible for the majority of my stay, however when I checked out in the early hours of the morning, the reception staff wouldn’t explain to my taxi driver how to get to me, and told me I needed to walk down to the Main Street. This meant booling 40kg of luggage down at least 400 meters of steep hills. It was so painful and really ruined my stay here.

I loved the views - simple breathtaking. Most of the staff were super helpful and friendly. I received an incredible room upgrade to include the views and this was simply amazing!

The pool did not have a shallow end.

It was all very good, the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful , we upgraded to a sea view room, we weren’t too keen on the room at the back as we did not book sea view. The second room was much better with a lovely balcony to enjoy views of the coast and sea. We expected a bit of walking to and from the hotel to the centre, but we got used to it. And it was not far. The breakfast was very good and really appreciated the freshly squeezed orange juice and the gluten free section.

Nothing I didn't like

The breakfast was incredible with loads of options. The hotel was stunning, and very picturesque. The staff was super friendly. The location was amazing, super close to all the restaurants, centre and shops. The beach was also very close. The main bus stop is right outside the hotel so super convenient in terms of getting around.

The air conditioning wasn't the best and lots of steps to get between levels (not the hotel's fault!)

Excellent for walking into Taormina and right near the local bus/coach terminal. Amazing amazing views, very friendly staff. Brilliant on-site restaurant for dinner or breakfast. Superb value for money overall

When we went their a la carte restaurant was closed so we had to go with the buffet. The food was ok but would recommend to try the restaurant in the city instead.

The room was a basic room but good. The reception was helpful and got us a taxi when we had to leave. It is 10min walk from the center which is nice. They also have a pool.

No air conditioning and the room was small and airless. They need to be more flexible for hot days - no matter when they occur.

The location was quiet and beautiful. We were allowed access earlier than the usual 3.00pm which was very good for 2 weary travelers. The lunch choices were great and reasonably priced. We went to the Italian Opera in the evening which was easily walkable.

Great location, beautiful views, clean and comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Great breakfast with lots of choices. Pool was lovely and refreshing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will certainly recommend this hotel. Lots of seniors staying here. Didn't see many kids and young couples

I had booked the main hotel, however was given an "upgrade to a family room" which we didn't particularly like, no view only a block wall, even though it was clean, quiet and comfortable.

The breakfast was a large and well presented varied buffet our dining room server, Annatella, (I hope I got her name right) was extremely pleasant and professional. We also loved the pool and the lifeguard was again very nice and professional

We stayed in Palazzo Santa Caterina. It is a separate building, and it looks a bit outdated.The wifi signal was very weak and sometimes absent. But overall, it was not bad for the money we paid.

Location, attentive personal, breakfast, main building facility, outdoor area, spacious room with balcony. We were allowed to stay 2 hours more after the checkout time.
