Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Sara, our host was awesome, the rooms are very nice, modern and clean. But the very best is the huge terrase above the sea where we got served breakfast every morning.

United StatesThe location. You could not walk anywhere. You had to drive. It also needed a little TLC. But when you were sitting on your shared deck space facing the ocean all of these things seemed to disappear

United StatesNothing to dislike. Need to be mindful of the entry times for the tunnels that bracket the property (an interesting quirk) but that is easily managed.
Lovely view from a massive terrace, most comfortable room and facilities, and Sarah is an outstanding host. We’ll definitely stay here again if visiting this part of the Italian coast.

United StatesThe properties are between two tunnels that are controlled by traffic lights which must be timed to access the property.
This is a very unique property that allows patrons to stay several feet from the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. The rooms are very modern and have a villa feel. The breakfast is wonderful and Sarah the host is very kind and gracious.

United Kingdom24 hours later and I'm still in awe of how amazing Asseu is!!!This place is absolutely stunning!!! An actual "hidden gem". I'm running out of positive verbs, so excuse the repetition: bedroom - spotlessly clean , large, modern, comfortable, every convenience and to top it off....thee most stunning view to wake up to. Plus, how can you not fall in love with a place where you go to sleep with the sound of crashing waves 🤩🤩😍😍 Staff - Sara is the most welcoming and kind host we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She made our stay even more special. Thank you, thank you xx Breakfast - well, I mean, this was exceptional. There was everything we could have wished for and Sara even made us eggs to order 😍

GermanyIt's very tucked away which is mostly a positive, however it's basically only accessible by car. There is a tunnel you must take to get there, in which no pedestrians or cyclists are allowed, and this tunnel has a *VERY* slow stoplight, as in only 3 green-light occasions per hour. The window for green light is only 2 minutes, so if you miss it you will be waiting another 18 minutes for the next opportunity. However once you're aware of the schedule you will work around it (much like taking a bus that comes 3 times per hour).
Sara was a very friendly and hospitable host, and gave us a very positive first impression. The room was very spacious, with an amazing view of the sea out the large windows. From the room you have direct access to 1. the communal outdoor terrace where you can enjoy a drink or breakfast overlooking the Mediterranean, 2. The rocky beach directly below, and 3. a path that leads to you a sandy beach about 5 minutes away on foot. Also a bonus is the opportunity to fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves and literally nothing else. This was our favourite hotel of the 6 different places we stayed at, throughout the French & Italian Rivieras.

GermanyBe aware that the hotel is located between two tunnels and that you may have to wait up to 20 mins before you can leave in either direction. Hence, you need to plan your travel times well ahead especially if you intend to catch the train from Sestri Levante or from Moneglia. Now, as for Cinque Terre which is why you would choose this hotel: Cinque Terre must have been beautiful some 50 years ago but meanwhile it is an Italian Disney Land with 2 million tourists a year. The famous hiking trails are hopelessly overcrowded, as are the trains and the cafés, and many visitors are inconsiderate if not reckless. The erstwhile romance of Cinque Terre has long been destroyed by hordes of tourists.
This B&B with only 3 rooms was certainly one of the best small hotels we have ever stayed in. The spacious rooms with an ensuite are adjoined to and share a sea side terrace which at wild weather can be a bit noisy. The shingle beach does not lend itself to swimming though. The breakfast was excellent and did hardly leave anything to desire. Sara, the owner, was more than helpful and she went at great lengths to make our stay as pleasant as only possible.

We loved everything about this hotel and breakfast. The rooms were spotless and very large with windows that open completely so you can hear and almost feel the ocean while you sleep. Breakfast on the terrace is amazing But the best part of all is Sara. She was so incredibly helpful and kind when our flight was delayed and I needed to do last minute changes She helped with everything we needed when we arrived and made us feel immediately at ease

Quick response to checking in connection, thank you! Great explanation of traffic light and access to road. Drying racks and various patio seating was wonderful. Breakfast was copious, delicious and provided for an early departure. D
